MOOSE ATV PLOWS... The best!!!
@GettingItDoneRepairs3 жыл бұрын
@@richarddowner4292 I'm not here to argue about brands or the workability of the plow. But I just checked out the Moose Plow and I would say the Kimpex Click n Go I use seems stronger and easier to use. I don't have to lay down on the ground to mount the blade to the mount underneath the atv either. Also I don't have to tie a strap to the front rack so I can have something for the winch cable to attach to. Not a big fan of the way the blade frame is attached to the mount below the atv. Those small pins seem like a weak point to me. Just my opinion. You should take a look at the Kimpex Click n Go plow system. I've used mine 4 years now with no problems.

Oh man! You just saved me thousands! I knew ATV’s could plow, but for the last six months, I’ve been researching three-quarter and 1 ton trucks with a 9 foot V plow…. because that’s what the snowplow sales guys were recommending for my application but now I don’t think I need to go that route. Granted, my application will be very similar to yours, but about 6 to 7 times longer in length that road that you push the snow out into the ditch, I’ll have a road just like that which will also need to be plowed and that’s about five or 6 miles long. Obviously, this would take me a lot longer to get the job done compared to a truck but if it can be done, I’m all forward and will not care about spending extra time when I can save so much more money. Thank you for the video.
@GettingItDoneRepairs10 ай бұрын
Great to hear! 5 or 6 miles of straight road would be a blast. It doesn't take that long. Huge savings!

I think the snowplow on the ATV is the best way to go for a homeowner. ATVs can be had for as little as a few hundred bucks (if they need work) and the plow can be had for cheap too if you buy in the off-season. I have a 1998 Sportsman 500 that has needed a decent amount of work and a plow I got for $50 and it is a joy to use when we get snow, much more fun and less work than snowblowing, plus I can move the snow right where I want it without it blowing in my face the whole time. 4 LO is where its at.

I've been plowing my own, along with a neighbor or two, with our atv for five years. Saves me 4-500$ a year. And it's fun work. 750 foot of driveway takes me a half hour. More if I get fussy. Now I look forward to when it snows, more the better. It can be hard on the ATV though. One serious upgrade I made is studded tires. I can plow up to 6 inches in two wheel drive with no spin. I do about the same in Maine on my 2003 Arctic Cat 500 with a 54” Warn plowed. My plow has the handle on top to change blade direction. Just ordered some new SUNF tires on Amazon too! The stock don’t have that great of grip but I used to use chains. It’s just a pain to put them on and take them off. Might get some extra rims to put the old tires on and that way I can leave them chained. Also thinking about getting one of those polyurethane edges.
