ATV Teardrop Gauge Replacement

I have a question I have a Arctic cat 550s and on my teardrop pod my speedometer doesn't work everything else works except the speedometer and the miles meter and the trip meter. I have already changed the speed sensor and I have done a continuity Test and it comes back to me good so idk what to do is there a way that I can get a new teardrop cluster but not for 250$

My question is if the display has been changed out to a new one, does the atv have a ecm that record previous mileage that has already accumulated on the bike and show it on the new display ? I suspect my used 2008 Arctic Cat has had the digital display changed out but I'm not for sure.

Thats what Im wondering. Is the km recorded on the computer or on the cluster?

@@DusterNutbar Never found out on mine for sure if display had been replaced or not. My Arctic Cat 650 turned out to be technically stolen if that makes any sense 👀. The dealership I bought it from couldn't get me a clear title for it after they told me it had clear title. Long,long story on that. I had it for 11 months and the dealership did a buy back from me for what I gave them for it plus any maintenance cost I put into it. They wanted it back because they made a screw up. Mine was a trade in at a Kawasaki/Suzuki dealership.
