I just did first oil change and transmission fluid change on my new RZR 570 at around 70 miles/ 8 hours. I used the Polaris engine oil and filter kit, but I used a new trans/gear lube for UTV's by Amsoil that's compatible with the Polaris vehicles, and other brands as well. I've been a long time user of Amsoil fluids in my Harley, given the hot running nature of a big air cooled engine. Great stuff! I've always tried to give the toys only the best, as well as my vehicles. Thanks for the great videos, Doug!

I totally agree with the oil. I use castrol syntec 5w50 in my Sportsman. In fact, I can perform an oil and filter change on both my sportsmans for half the cost using castrol syntec and a NAPA oil filter. However, castrol does not recommend or condone the use of their syntec oil in ATVs or side by sides. This was in an email to me when I decided to ditch the polaris oil chance kits and asked Castrol for their recommendations. They mentioned corrosion resistance and high moisture as the issues with ATV and side by side oils. Bull crap! It does not have to be Polaris oil for polaris, honda oil for honda, Rotax oil for Can Am, atc. Even in my climate the temperature ranges for 5w50 syntec is way out of range for what I need here. I can get away with 10w30 here.

Those are the Sedona 28" Rock-A-Billies. I did an initial review of them (check the website under tire reviews) but because of my dealer being so behind (or at least putting me way behind;-) I have not had the chance to put some miles on them. Also have a new SLP muffler that is quieter than stock but still performs better waiting.......

In the same boat. Think I will contact Polaris and see if they will extend the warranty the amount of time spent waiting! Those are 14 inch rims too?

Yup. I'm a believer in 14s on a SxS when running anything bigger than stock diameter tires.

What gets me are the people who spend tens of thousands of dollars on these machines, and then cheap out on maintenance LOL. When I had my Yamaha Rhino I followed the manual for the break in service and I got home from a camping trip still had the machine on the trailer and did the service with the machine on the trailer, it made it so easy rather than crawling around on the ground under the machine LOL. It took maybe a half hour to do the whole service myself. If you can afford $10k+ for one of these machines you certainly can afford $100 for service parts, otherwise you shouldn't own or operate one of these machines. I worked on a Polaris Ranger 500 a few weeks ago from the late 90's, it has several thousand miles on it of course but the owner has been on top of the services on it all these years, it still runs and drives like new, and the fluids are never extremely dirty.

I'd say because most (okay many) of the buyers nowadays are the type of people that maintain their cars by driving them into Walmart to get the oil changed. They are clueless to do anything else.

ATVTV I don't think many even go to Walmart, they get in and drive, hell they're lucky to be intelligent enough to put gas in...and that is quite a chore for them as well.
