Once my Grizzly got broken in the engine braking was fine, it was a little rough at the beginning though. I test drove every ATV offered by every company and i chose the grizzly, such an amazing machine i love it.

I commented on this vid 3 years ago. My 2007 700 now has 4,000 miles on it, all I have replaced are the brake pads. Get the sintered metal pads from ebc, far superior to factory pads. eps has given no problems. To fix the fuel tank pressure, drill out one side of the pressure valve. It's a great atv.

@ATVTVCOM Thanks for the help! I shall check on that, thanks again!

@lea391 We've found that it's very easy for the adjustment rod to get out of sync. That would be the first thing I'd check. Fairly easy - pull of the seat and the left side cover by the shifter. Once there you can see the shifter. Adjust it so that it is in neutral and then at each end of the travel and see if that works.

You really do i great job whit your tests! I have one question, i buy a grizzly 700 in 2009 and i noticed when i have to use the LOW gear its a bit hard to select it, did you fell any hardness when you try to select it? Im asking because when i use the others gears i can select them really easy and goes the shifting real smooth, i only have that concern about the low gear. Thanks!

@98Mpower Ohhhhhh, you're gonna be surprised! There is absolutely NO comparison........ Awesome that you had the winch put on. Get a set of radials as soon as you can. The ACTs on the stock wheels are reasonable and incredible!

i agree. the engine braking is great. i got an 07. it is perfect, but it has a off idle stumble and will stall some times. i'd like to have more power also. it is still the best atv i've ridden.

@midwesternoutdoors It's a no-brainer! If you've watched our videos you'd know we love the Grizzly and think the Rincon has a silly transmission and no locking 4wd!

@ATVTVCOM Hello i got a question : What are the differences between 2007 grizz 700 and 2009 ?decide between them ...the 2007 is cheaper but not sure if pay extra for 2009 or 2007 will suffice

Hi doug, can the grizzly 700 be bored out to 800cc as i am racing it and need more power.I like the bike and it's an 09 model,also i have welded new lower end front and rear bosses on the A arms to lower it although it makes the shocks bit stiffer.I've changed the handle bars to flex ones and taken out the baffle, it's not at all tippy now something like your project grizzly's.

@Derek130b I don't know (or really care) which is fastest! They are both plenty fast. Which is smoother? Handles better? Has better ergonomics? The King Quad.

@Shenaniganismful It's a great machine but the price would depend on how well it was taken care of.

@luxus51 If you didn't know there was differences you wouldn't know ;-) The throttle/EFI programming changed slightly. The shift linkage slightly. I think the seat foam. Nothing that would make any difference you'd feel.

@freakinLOKBAK That my friend is engine braking! When an engine slows and thereby causes the ATV to slow through the gearing is what we call engine braking. That is what everyone is trying to duplicate on an ATV with a belt drive rather than a normal geared transmission as they don't do it naturally.

My uncle is offering me a 2007 can-am outlander 800r EFI with a warn 4000lb winch for $6,000. It hasn't been used that much. That or a new 2012 grizzly 700 EPS FI??

@bigdickwagging Nope, you're on track. The test on the website is the same, just better quality. You might also check out the newer tests. As far as we've seen, we have not had any trouble with this or the Suzuki power steering units. I imagine they are one of those things (like fuel injection) that will last for years, but if you do have a fluk problem it will be costly.

Put on some 26" tires - you'll be amazed at how much better it goes !
@ATVTVCOM
@ATVTVCOM 14 жыл бұрын
@98Mpower Bighorns are indestructible but because they are hard and stiff don't handle well or have ultimate traction. One notch better in all departments is the new ITP Baja Cross. The ACTs are the best performing but being lighter and more flexible won't hold up as well. The ATRs might be a good in between tire or also the Terra Cross.
@ZaxL89
@ZaxL89 13 жыл бұрын
"And even without the EPS its a very nice package" would EPS make such a big diffrence? In my nearest town the grizzly 550 with no EPS has a quite big reduced price compere to the standard model.

A buddy of mine has 28" Mudlite tires, which are only 8lbs heavier each than stock, and the dealer told him they were too big for his machine...ITS A ARCTIC CAT THUNDERCAT VTWIN...They said it was causing his tranny to grind and slip...I would think an ATV with 951cc engine would have no problem turning these tires!?...What do you think?

im a honda guy but this grizzly looks pretty sweet, id get this over a rincon if it was between the two rincon has an odd tranny i wouldnt trust it with the way i ride. my next atv will be a 420 honda footshift though.

@rjrock91 If you are referring to our comment about the sound of the Grizzly, it's not that it's loud, it's more that it's not a 'quality' sound. But based on your comment I'm guessing that goes over your head.

@bigdickwagging Perhaps you should drain the oil from the Grizzly, loan it to your step nephew's loaded brother-in-law for a weekend so you won't be overwhelmed by the word 'quality'. You will be in heaven with this machine.... Put a set of radials on it as soon as you can.
