Kathryn Hays is easily one of the most underrated actressess to ever work in daytime soaps. Why she wasn't nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress the year this fantastic storyline was played out is a serious injustice!! Simply superb!

Incredible!! Doug Marland's writing was exceptional. He knew what the viewers wanted to see and he gave it to them. This is just one great example. After that hog Hogan Sheffer came in and turned it into the Carly and Katie show I knew it was the beginning of the end. Then, the hack of hacks, Jean Passanante and Chris Goutman drove the show into the ground with characters we didn't know and couldn't care less about. Thank you for giving us a great example of ATWT's glory days.

LOVE how Kim brings up 15+ year old history with her, Susan and Dan....brilliant

This was glorious, back when World knew how to write so well for the middle-aged stars and not just the current, hot twenty-somethings in the cast (though their stories were fine too). Infidelity can happen at any stage in a marriage, and a late-stage case has rarely been better dramatized. The scene where Bob semi-confesses to even his mother, stating his and Kim's troubles are mostly his fault, was memorably heartbreaking, even 20 years later. We're gonna miss World for a long time.

EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT!!! Ugh!!!!! All they need to do is write and the viewers will come...when this storyline aired, ATWT ratings went through the roof. No matter how young the demographic, how viewing habits have changed bla bla bla...people still appreciate intelligent writing and acting from pros....

They were always the perfect couple, a bit annoying until Bob went astray with Susan of all peoples and we all had a good laugh; at least I did. Many years after, I'm still having a good laugh. Good acting, lots of drama and I understand Kim if I'm serious.

This was the first well written break up between two adult people and it felt real and not fake. One of the last well written storylines on ATWT.

I side w/ Kim, but she was the other woman when Bob was married to her sister, Jennifer, AND got pregnant w/ Bob's child when Jennifer also became pregnant with Bob's child. However, it was wrong of Bob to sleep w/ Susan. Shame!

You two are so right--I love Kathy--Her last great story line was when Andy found out that baby Hope was his--and he faked Paralysis--I miss her kidoes lol
