ATWT: CarJack - Carlys In My Blood 1/18/01

As the World Turns January 18, 2001. Julia asks Jack about not coming home. Jack takes the blame for all that has happened because he has never admitted Carly is still in his heart. He declares that if Julia can accept that, he wants to have a new life with Julia and the baby. Julia wants more, but Jack is interrupted by a call from Holden and must head out. A panicked Julia realizes she's bleeding! She calls Carly looking for Jack, and Carly rushes to her aid. Thanks go Dragonweaver for the clip.

Julia started out good, but remember, Carly never would have left Jack in the first place if it had not been for Julia. Julia helped Winston Low kidnap Carly on what would have been CarJack's wedding day #1. Julia was nuts before hand, unfortunately nobody knew it, not even Carly.

I think it started with her mother and her childhood, along with Carly (accidentally) running her over. But yes, I think she could have lived a normal life if not for the Stenbeck mess, Jack, and Carly. And Carly seems to make everyone crazy, but especially Julia.

@Jeffrizel1986 I never felt sorry for Julia. If she became depressed and almost attempted suicide over it, I can understand why people would sympathize with her (even though she kind of did bring it on herself by plotting for Carly to go to Hong Kong). But I think a lot of people would have a hard time justifying her evil behaviour. If she wanted to protect herself from more heartache, she should have divorced him ASAP, not torture the man that she claimed to love despite Jack's faults.

Julia should have just married that prince Jack saved her from. Her life would have been so much better.

As much as a carjack fan I am,I always felt sorry for Julia in a sense. She started out as a good girl who wouldn't harm a fly. All she did was innocently fall in love with Jack. Jack basically used Julia to get over Carly... Too bad Julia lost her sanity over Carjack's dysfunctional relationship.

Both Julias did, especially this one. But I also liked Julia more when she snapped.

i could never really see julia as a villain because of the way she struggled with mental illness - definitely not one of the more sensitive portrayals i've seen in daytime. jack and carly both treated her like garbage, and even though there's no excuse for any of the horrible things she did, i would have liked to have seen her get a decently happy and healthy ending. she definitely deserved better.

JohnBoy918 was kill Carly's champion racehorse worth millions. Julia figured Carly lost her cash flow and would lose interest in Jack on his cop's salary. Julia assumed Carly would forget Jack and look for some rich guy. But that was after Julia lost her mind. Still she was cruel.

Her mother didn't help matters either. Or when Carly accidentally ran her over and tried to cover it up.

@classof06ECU nah, CarJack forever! :D However, out of all the other women Jack has been with, I do think she was the most interesting one. Not to mention, she was the only other woman I felt that I could see the appeal from Jack's point of view. Everyone else was just a total WTF to me.

Julia? Agreed. I liked Katie sometimes but she and Jack were so wrong for each other. Julia Larrabee wasn't that bad but she bored me. And I like Julie Pinson, but I really couldn't see the appeal of Janet.

I agree but I thought she was kinda cracked from day 1. Even in '98, I was waiting for it to show. Her whole intro story - nuts!

I really liked Jack and Julia...this could have been a really good triangle with Carly. But Julia went crazy instead!

Probably because Annie Parisse wanted to move on and broaden her horizons. They had to write her out somehow. In hindsight, even before Annie Parisse wanted to leave, Julia got crazier little by little after Carly ran her over and David Stenbeck terrorized her.
