Free Yourself I have autism too, so I guess it's okay if I answer you. The show really helped me figure out what autism is, and how it affects me. When you get a diagnosis, you just get it, and leave. You never get educated on what it means. And I've been trying to find sources, but they're hard to find. Atypical helped me realise why I'm so obsessed with some things, why I have sensory issues, and why I like traditions (to name a few) And then I just relate to Sam, and I think a lot of autistic people do. It's the representation of autism which is rarely seen in media. (And then it helped me even more in figuring out my sexuality too, but that has nothing to do with this)

I think when I typed that comment I was just like “Wrong pronouns. Misgendering. Misgendering bad!” And didn’t think of everything. I know that’s not an excuse, but I just wanted to explain. I know that comment came off as salty and I apologize, I’m sorry.
