@Stan Dup i picked this one up for 3000 in 2013 with 140.000km and sold it in 2016 for 6000 with 190000km, now people are asking over 10g for series 3 manual xr8s, ohh by the way this car was a factory manual car but i converted it to auto when i supercharged it, but in this vid it was still auto but i had sold off the supercharger. i did end up converting it back to manual and sold it.

nice ! I'm not sure why but I love the AU! I'm looking for one atm but I'm copping flack from the boys. they want me to fg. I love the Aussie 5.0 etc.
@backyardmechanical3 жыл бұрын
the au is certainly a love or hate type of car, usually the ones that push towards the ba,bf or fg are all about how much power the turbo 6 or the boss v8 have and probably never driven an au, but while the au is not quite as fast as its younger brothers its certainly the most reliable , better build quality with a better designed rear suspension set up and overall the better drivers car.

Hi mate, what was it like driving with 3.9s? I was thinking of using 3.7s in mine keeping the auto and goin raptor supercharger. But I have found a company putting t56 6spd manual boxes behind the Windsor's so unsure which way to go. keen to hear your experience what sorta revs they we doin at 60, 80 and 110 to see what the drone was like?
@backyardmechanical3 жыл бұрын
hi with the auto 3.9 is good, probably the best ratio for the 4 speed auto, at 110 it sat on 2500rpm as for drone if anything it was slightly less due to there being less load and slightly higher rpm at cruising speeds, and fuel economy was no different , while the rpm was slightly higher the load on normal acceleration was less, i did have a raptor supercharger on this at one point with the 3.9s and auto.. if you go t56 im pretty sure the box ratios are much shorter and i would probably leave it with 3.45

it had hurricane headers, 100 cel cats, then a single 3 system with a single "no name" center muffler. the xr8 i have now has a slightly different set up and sounds slightly different , have pacemaker headers, 100 cel cats, its dual 2.5" untill the 3"center muffler then 3" the rest of the way. i havent pit a vid of my current system yet. nut will in the next weak or so.

loud as man ..my 220 also has a single 3 with one middle straight through muffler and 100 cell cats but doesnt sound as loud as this.. I must have missed something
