Hello everyone, I would like to say that my last illustrator was using AI. By the time I realized it, I had already paid for it, and unfortunately I’m too poor to be as principled as I’d like to be. Rest assured, I have found new illustrators, and moving forward, my illustrations will only come from actual artists.

My father has died recently, Bob, very suddenly. Between betrayal by people he cared for and trusted and the weight of the loss in me and my family, you posting this video will be a great help to me to take my mind off things. He was the one who jumpstarted my interest in cryptozoology (he was an UFO guy, used to buy me a local Brazilian magazine named UFO every month that had a new edition). We used to watch the discovery channel and history channel when I was small, maybe 5-6, together in bed. I remember when I first saw the PGF and used to ask him questions about bigfoot and stories about UFO his clients told him. He was never a believer in bigfoot but he'd listen to me rant about the evidence for hours if he had to. I miss him so much. Thank you for the video, it really will help me tonight.

I don't know what to say, but feel I should say something. "I'm sorry for your loss" feels so standard, but please know I am indeed so very sorry. Your time with him watching those shows I've no doubt meant twice to him than it did to you. As did probably everything you ever did together. Peace and healing to you.

Makes me wonder why we’ve never officially found the body of a Bigfoot. Surely one must have died in a fashion where they were irretrievable by their kin, but visible to humans? Like on the edge of a cliff or something. I think about that sometimes, and I am definitely a Bigfoot believer. Very interesting sighting, that must have been traumatizing to witness. No wonder he didn’t want to talk about it much

@@Emiliapocalypsewe have found huge bones bigger than human bones look it up. The Smithsonian and other museums hide them and never show in public. Big conspiracy theory about it. Anyway I also have thought that also why never find a dead carcass that died within a month or two. Maybe the family unite bury there dead. If bigfoot is around there can’t be to many let’s so 10-15 family groups a state that they could be in. The chances of seeing those would be astronomically low. Think of other reclusive creatures that are hard to find like foxes and mountain lions and there’s so many of them.

@@Emiliapocalypse honestly,I never thought about it in that way. But with yours and an earlier comment, have now got me thinking. My family are all animal lovers,especially seeing another species with such close ties to humans. I mean,we jump into rivers to rescue drowning dogs and deer! It would have been traumatic to see something so human,that I'm sure he never dreamed existed,struggling to free itself from the debris in the ice jam. He did say it happened so fast that it was startling to him. It probably did bother him to be unable to help. Thanks for the new perspective!

The majority of paranormal channels have a bot voice reading stories while random usually unrelated images are shown. I find this extremely lazy of the creator and withhold my revenue generating likes and subscription. The amount of time and effort you put into your videos goes far beyond what nearly everyone else does. I appreciate thar you first try to debunk the phenomenon of the day's subject then present what results you found lending credence to the subject. On top of all that your illustrations make the video far more interesting than just reading the story. Personally l think this is the best paranormal channel on KZbin so thank you very much for all of your hard work, it does not go unnoticed.

If a "bigfoot" is like other apes, it would probably be found close to natural fruit sources or near natural springs - especially high up in the hills, where the water bubbles from the rock face. I have noticed this about baboons through the years, they even play on these natural "water slides". Good luck in your search! Hope you don't get eaten.

I’m not sure if anyone is aware but the rock stacks are a typical thing to see around there. Not even 2 minutes into the video and Bob Gymlan opens up with the skeptic perspective first before the believer perspective. That is why, even as a skeptic, I am a subscriber. Most people would be too eager to assert something as authentic, whereas he is confident enough that he can provide a compelling argument, that he has no issue opening with the opposing viewpoint first. One of several reasons he's the best Bigfoot coverer on youtube. (I want to believe, just not convinced enough yet.) Great work as always, Bob. Stay professional.

Hi, Bob. Apologies for the sappiness, but here goes: My father was the pillar of my life, who taught me all I know of woodcraft, respecting nature, and the phenomenon that is sasquatch. For years he and I were partners in crime as we travelled British Columbia gathering evidence and having incredible experiences. He passed in 2022, and it threw me for a loop. Squatching without him felt hollow, and it felt that I was betraying him, so I lost the spark as it were. Then, I found your channel. And damn, I wish he'd have met you. You have the same views on the subject that he did, and your ability to portray information is simply fabulous. So much so, that I have to say that the spark has returned. The woods call to me once again, and I aim to gather evidence and have incredible experiences as I once did, in the legacy of my father and you. What I'm trying to say is thank you. Thank you for what you do, and please don't ever stop. You've given me my passion back, and I am forever grateful.

When it comes to the nothing can be hidden thing, i once broke down the population density of the Canada’s Northwest Territories, home of the infamous Nahani Valley. The claim is there are roughly 44,700 people in the territory, a density of .08 people per sq mile, or 1 per 12.5 sq miles. But when you look at the population centers, you find that about 30,700 of those people live in the five largest settlements. Making a population density outside of those regions closer to 1 person per 37 sq miles. But it gets worse. Roughly 39,500 of the 44,700 live in settlements of some kind, town, hamlet, city, etc. and those settlements take up roughly 2540 sq miles. Meaning thats roughly 5200 people in a 517,194 sq mile area, or roughly 1 person per 99.5 sq miles. Thats an area only about 2 sq miles larger than Sacramento, California with only ONE person in it. There is plenty of room for things to remain hidden in this world. There are places in the mountains where no human has ever tread. Deep forests that have never known the sound of a human voice. Islands untouched by the hands of man. It is the arrogance of modern man and moderb science to believe we know that things can’t exist because we haven’t found them yet.

Vast tracts of forest that are endless and desolate especially in the long winters when you can drive a hundred miles and barely see another soul. Had one thing happen in the Hiawatha forest in a deep swamp, didn't actually see anything that I could make out but all of a sudden I was terrified and it felt like something was telling me to leave now. And of course i was alone so i didnt have anyone else with me to ask what they thought of the noise. It really freaked me out though. I finished up as quickly as i could and got out of there. "It's just a guy in a suit!" "If I made a suit like that, I'd be laughed out of Hollywood!" "I made many suits like that for sale!" "I was the guy in that suit!" My response to anyone and everyone who claims or has claimed any of these ridiculous statements or similarly outlandish remarks: OK, where is the suit? Make one exactly like that 'suit' then. We've got almost 60 years of advancements in prosthetics, costume designing, makeup, etc. It should be very easy now if it was that easy back then. Planet of the Apes released theatrically the year after the Patterson film was shot; are you really going to tell me that the world's best costume designers (Planet of the Apes won an Oscar for Makeup Design, and was nominated for Costume Design) could make something that looks exactly like Patty with ease when the best they could come up with were incredibly dated, literal monkey-man suits? They couldn't look more ridiculous when compared to real primates. To this day, Patty looks incredibly realistic. Planet of the Apes, 2001, and even more modern films with practical creature designs do not look even half as good as Patty still does. The arguments in favor of Patty being a man in a suit are far worse and more egregious and simply illogical compared to the arguments against it being a man in the suit. If you think otherwise, you are either close-minded or trolling.

Any argument that prides itself on saying "opposition is closed minded or trolling" sounds pretty disingenuous. That's a piss-poor stance to take when you're trying to bring legitimacy to something that the civilized world pretty much considers a joke when speaking of publicly. As a native Michigander whose entire family, immediate and extended, is from the Upper Peninsula, I'm familiar with wildlife here. My entire family is from Schoolcraft County but I've got family literally just spread across the entirety of the peninsula, practically. Routinely visit and travel up there. It's a beautiful area. Highly recommend people travel the UP. That being said, whilst I've heard plenty of stories (and have even seen wolves that aren't officially recognized or confirmed to be here, as well as several other rare [but not mythological/extinct] animals), Michigan does not have any credible Bigfoot encounters. Not a single one. We also have our own history of grade school trolling cryptids, my favorite being the Michigan Dogman. When you look into where America ranks in terms of literacy, critical thinking skills, conspiracy prevalence, education level, you start to piece together that it becomes even more difficult to legitimize cryptid sightings, because half the people reporting them are either outright dumb, gullible, inexperienced or overactive in the imagination department. For clarity, this is not a condemnation of all cryptid sightings or people who submit their supposed sightings. I love Bob Gymlan's channel and always have. He's literally one of the few believers (CONTENT CREATORS SPECIFICALLY, not random everyday people who believe) I don't take issue with, and that's even after the admission that I disagree with [some] of his analysis/approaches. However, I find Bob Gymlan to be the only one I've deemed not to just be milking it, and more of a genuine interest to provoke thought, as opposed to brainwashing or making grandiose claims for profit, etcetera. Which is why I'm a subscriber. He's the only person I've seen so far routinely covering the topic who I do not believe (granted, I've never met him) has an agenda other than provoking adequate discussion around a somewhat controversial topic. At the end of the day, nobody high in society that we (yes, we, even as a skeptic I'm just as interested in definitely proving or disproving it as the most stalwart believers,) need to convince gives a shit about the Patty suit, because it means nothing. It's footage from an ancient device of an object too far away to analyze closely enough to satisfy mainstream science/academia, and we have zero bigfoot corpses. Zero. What we NEED is a live or dead specimen, because then we can shut EVERYONE up. There would be no meaningful denial of it anymore, and the vindication would be immense. Probably funny too I'm sure there'd be a lot of inflammatory threads where people who got shit on for believing would be vindicated and then people who shit on believers would be humiliated because of their overly confident stance. Bigfoot being proven real pretty much has only upsides and no downsides. I'm all for it. Something 'looking' convincing isn't good enough, because there have been convincing hoaxes before and will continue to be. If the Patty suit WAS just a suit, for example, it doesn't matter if Planet of the Apes crew couldn't remake it. They're not the same person, their brains and approach to the suit would be entirely different due to identity. Whilst my disbelief of Sasquatch's existence is entirely based upon mathematics and the understanding that there never was a 'missing link' and the entire idea of there being a missing link is a complete misunderstanding of some nonsense article claiming a missing link to be a thing, it's not very scientific to speak in absolutes on average unless there is definitive, absolute evidence to disprove the claim. However, we must consider the following. Bigfoot is not restricted to North America. Nearly every country has their own cryptids, and much of the world have Bigfoot variants. Yet, across the globe, zero recovered corpses or confirmed biological samples. It's unrealistic enough that there are supposedly Bigfoot in the majority of the US states, and in Canada, and that we don't have biological material here, but then when you consider we don't have it for Yeren, Yowie, any of the variants in Asia, etcetera, well, now it just becomes kind of a meme. Almost everyone and their grandparents has a smart phone now. Including a ton of hunters or people who would happen to be in the right areas, as Bigfoot is not strictly limited to being seen in the middle of nowhere. The math doesn't add up. There are too many things working against the existence of Bigfoot and not enough things working in favor. HOWEVER, and this is critical, IMO, the BIGGEST thing working against Bigfoot are the rats who perform the hoaxes. Whether they're doing it as a joke, or to exploit gullible people out of money, the fact of the matter is they are doing a genuine disservice to a quest that if successful, could be an enormous benefit to mainstream science and primatology/evolutionary science. Every single time a hoax is committed, it puts further and further stigma against Bigfoot believers, and this annoys me because there are some people who are very, very credible, respected members of society who report sightings as well. And they will get thrown under the same stigma bus because of some ass who decided to be a trickster. I can't definitively say Bigfoot is real or isn't. Nobody can, and it's cognitive dissonance to say otherwise, because there's nothing absolute in either direction, OBJECTIVELY speaking. But the math makes it unlikely, as does the science. However, it'd be way more interesting and beneficial for our understanding of the world and various sciences if it did exist. And for that, I think it is important that people continue to look and question everything with an open mind. Remember. All it takes is 1 confirmed sample. And then jackpot.

Agreed. There is certainly "something" there, but the fact that it doesn't move at all makes it hard to know exactly what. Doubtful it's a guy in a suit, looks too rough of terrain and too much vegetation to be safe moving around up there. I'd be concerned about slipping and falling or tripping over something due to limited visibility wearing a suit. Plus I think it would have to be very very rehearsed and planned to get the exact movement down to be believable and also in frame synced up just to make it on camera and be fully visible from that distance. If it's an intentional hoax, that's probably some kind of prop just sat/stood up, cheaper and easier to setup than to make/order some sort of costume, get someone else to perform in it, and line up the shot for those less than 5 seconds it's in the frame. Whereas just propping something up and then just carefully catching a glance of it from that distance would be considerably easier. Could well be just a coincidence and mistaken identity. Too blurry/pixelated at that distance to be sure of anything, really.

Great video as always Bob. A dear friend of mine sent me pics today of Sasquatch structures she found in a large park here in Michigan. I have no doubt about the still from the video. Doesn't look like any costume. My friend Randy, whom you did an interview with, went to a Halloween costume contest as Bigfoot.. in costume for 5hrs, ended up with a serious latex skin reaction. He's just now recovering from it. Point being, one doesn't just dress up in a costume for hours in the thick woods hoping someone catches them on camera. Plus, genuine researchers like Randy know that these costumes look nothing like the real thing and are best left for Halloween. But be careful of skin reactions to prolonged contact with latex masks. Peace Always ☯️
@thegrimharvest
@thegrimharvest 8 ай бұрын
Fair point, but I don't think the skeptical argument would be necessarily that someone would just create/wear a bigfoot costume and just randomly hang out in heavily wooded areas hoping on the off chance to get spotted. Especially if there's the possibility like your friend of having a bad reaction from wearing the costume out in the non air conditioned wilds, all on the wild gamble of an unknown chance. If the goal was to pull off a successful hoax, one would have to find ways first to guarantee that outcome of being observed/discovered "accidentally", then the added layer of obviously not getting shot, and then finally the extra complexity of being sure the one who discovers you both doesn't shoot AND goes on to report what they saw with "evidence" to back up their claims. What are the statistical odds of successfully finding a person who would meet all those criteria entirely without being in on it? You'd have better odds putting your life savings all on a single bet at a roulette wheel, or a single throw of the dice, hell even a game of three card monty, than to encounter a random stranger who just happens to stumble on you entirely on their own, not run away, not shoot, but to take pictures and then go on to spread them. The only conceivable way to hoax like that is to have the other guy in on it, or to purposely set them up in such a way to be looking for you, take pictures and then later convince them to share them. Especially if by trying this you're risking some horrible lasting condition that makes you miserable and takes serious time to recover from. The risk isn't worth the trouble.

Local here: those are two different waterfalls. The first one is indeed the Au Train Power Dam falls (Au Train, MI), and the 2nd (1:49) is Laughing Whitefish Falls (Rumely, MI). I visit both frequently--as in, my last visit was two days ago. People hike around the bottom right side (where he's taking the video) from all the time, he also left out the boardwalk/staircase. The 'caves' are just indentations from runoff and snowmelt in the sandstone bedrock. They aren't actually caves. Pretty typical around all the water falls, escarpments, etc., in the area--they ARE NOT something ANY animal dwells in due to the moisture/water runoff and freezing over. The trees--that's a shadow, the cliff face is right there behind that foliage. This guy is just preying upon the gullible that have no experience with the locale.

I’m not sure why he focus so heavily on the river after filming the falls and the jump to the cave is odd to me personally cause if I were to film the caves I’d want to be at the entrance but I get that a day tripper would want to film all they could quickly and easily. The blobsquatch is 🤷‍♂️ to me leaning on the it’s nothing. I don’t think the guy would go out of his way to fake it tho. The bit on the left as we look at it, with what looks like a bald patch or thin hair, is its right elbow. The highest part we can see is its right shoulder. So you have the upper arm between those two points, the elbow at 90 degrees and forearm going behind the fallen branch. The head is mostly obscured and we have some blurry twigs in front of what would be its right collar bone. The darkest bit, between its elbow and the fallen branch is the right side of its midriff in the shadow of its arm. There could even be a small, saggy breast centre mass.
