"we know all these things didn't do much." You mean I didn't lose 100 lb through healthier eating and kept it off for 7 years now through sustained habits and exercise? Crap, guess I'm suddenly 300 lb again, guys

I didn't go from morbid obesity to a healthy weight 25 years ago either, by exercising and learning that a portion is not half the pack of pasta. Aubrey said it doesn't work.

The thing is they are just assuming a bunch of celebrities are taking ozempic while ignoring that doctors have to prescribe it. The people that have actually spoken about taking it were overweight or obese. Kelly Clarkson got it for medical reasons by her doctor it wasn’t because she wanted to lose vanity weight. Obesity is a comorbidity. Im glad we’re back to reality and talking about what obesity really does to the body and mind. Having cute clothes and dating won’t stop your body getting recked by the fat around your organs.

Yeah I’d love to know the identity of this “we” she’s speaking of at 4:35 🤔 because I’m pretty sure I’m back in a size 2 at 38 years old thanks to my diet. Yes, it will need to be maintained long term, but suggesting calorie deficits don’t result in weight loss (or that any weight loss achieved will be temporary) is just absurd. It’s 100% cope on their part and it’s embarrassingly transparent!

Straight up Flat Earther stuff tbh. It’s wild how Aubrey maintains this thin veneer of (pseudo) intellectualism most of the time but casually drops some of the most batshit crazy bald-face reality denial you’ve ever seen, the kind that would make Scientologists blush.

I've ONLY been gaining weight the past 3 years, like 22lbs. I started paying attention to what I was eating 2 months ago and I've lost 5lbs without doing much of anything. just a coincidence I guess tho!!!

You know, I could get behind these FA’s sayings “Diets don’t work” because it’s true that if you go on some unsustainable fad diet for a while, then go right back to eating the way you did before, yeah, you’re going to gain back what you lost. BUT… …when they start in with “diets and exercise don’t matter” and “lifestyle change is just another word for diet,” *that’s* when I get mad. If you want to be a lighter person, you have to start living the life of a lighter person. Where the changes you’re willing to make in your diet and exercise routine *for life* meet *your* body’s mechanisms, you’ll settle into a weight. If you want to make that weight different, you’ll have to make a few more changes…*forever.* If being slightly overweight but being able to treat yourself to certain foods a little more often is a trade off you’re willing to make, cool. If being tremendously overweight but being able to eat whatever you want and move very little is the life you want to live, cool. But if that’s the case, don’t try to convince other people that your way is the way that things HAVE to be. It’s not.

7:10 “but also I run and count macros but it doesn’t do much.” That’s funny because when I started running everyday and counting my macros, my body comp changed dramatically 🙃 must have been magic tho, not the healthy diet and exercise

There are NO shortcuts to health…. I promise you that… take it from a boomer! Our bodies are meant to move and rest and move and rest…not just rest. We are made to do hard work and lift heavy things and run and walk and swim and hike…your body will thank you later for the work you do today… and eat according to the work you do … it’s pretty simple ❤ but that doesn’t mean it’s easy 😢

Wow, exercise doesn’t do anything? I guess all the exercise I’ve done to lose 100lbs over the last few years was all in my imagination. Modifying my diet to be healthier was just something I did for shits and giggles. The way I ate before must have had nothing to do with why I was so unhealthy. Fascinating.

I adore aubrey's laugh. It makes me smile everytime and it almost makes me look past the fact that I disagree. Otherwise, as someone who doesn't care or follow celebrity culture, it's so weird to hear this discussion. I never knew people were taking the tabloids so seriously. I care about the people in my life, but about what random rich and popular people think.

I swear it feels like literally every single thought that pops into Aubrey’s head about literally anything must, always, somehow, every single time, return back to whinging about the world being biased or unfair against her because she’s fat. I cannot imagine living in the world and going about my everyday things with this kind of mindset. Aubrey’s ability to connect anything and everything she talks about back to “anti-fat bias” proves just how all-encompassing and defining of a feature she perceives her weight to be. It’s integral to her very identity at this point.
