Karrine was a victim not just of the celebs but of an assault when she was young. If I remember correctly that’s how she starts her first book. Some of the reasons people may not have viewed her with the same compassion they gave Cassie was that she wrote a tell all book boldly speaking about her sexual exploits with numerous men and married men like Shaq, Ja Rule, Meth etc. Karrine also had a habit of taking pics of her lovers without their knowledge and posting it on social media. Then after the first two books she back tracked and came out and said she made a lot of stuff up. Unfortunately she came across as messy. She didn’t seem to care about Ja Rule or Meth’s wives. She also did porn. None of that doesn’t make her any less a victim but being seen as ‘messy’, the era back then, her infamous nick name, and of course her unapologetic stance on her sexuality compared to the public barely hearing a peep from Cassie and of course the footage of Cassie’s violent assault makes people favour one over the other. The truth is they are both victims of wicked men and a wicked industry. Karrine always came across as trying to intellectualise her experiences but I always felt that this was a mask for so much of her unhealed trauma.
