I get the thought process on the trick play. We have an offense that keeps stalling in the red zone. We are 5-6. Screw it go for it. However I hate trick plays so either way I would have cringed even if it worked lol

Yo Ike..the trick was terribly designed. Why are you asking a RB to read the deep safety and make a 30yard pass back across the field? And the QB was not open either. And you were also moving the ball with the base offense. That was some high school level bullshit

I did see Thorne covered. I was saying that based on comments in the post game. I should have watched the play again. However , KLS was open, the throw was short. I have looked at that part multiple times. However, Hunter could have just run instead of throwing. So, again, the call isn't the issue, the execution is. We can agree to disagree on that. - Ike

The problem with Peyton is that he never fails to make a critical error during a key time in the game…. Like throwing away on 4th down…. Throwing an int at the worst time…. Changing the play at the wrong time….

Ideal time for a trick play, when you need a quick score… with nearly 12 mins on the clock that’s not where they were. Maybe if they had driven down scored and gotten the ball back with just a minute or so left…..

A trick play is fine….a double pass is way too risky there. The double pass rule that takes away the ability of the second passer to throw the ball away makes plays like that irresponsible to call.

To bounce off what Mike said… if you go back to the Bo Wallace jumping on the McCready and Sidkey show, one of the things he said freeze was famous for was adding plays to the call sheet on Friday night… plays they haven’t practiced… now Dan Werner was the OC and just wouldn’t call them but that might not be the case now
