Hey man, first off, thanks for all the info, I'm about to order this for my X-Runner. Do you know what the OBD connection is actually used for? Just curious and thought you may know. Thanks again!

So far on the newer tacomas it is used to show the speed and rpm on the console. It also does the trajectory lines when reversing. On some of the older tacomas it is also the reverse switch to make the camera automatically show. That’s all I know of right now.

I have the same radio as u do i ge the one with the jbl amp or with out the amp?

If it is the same as mine it is a non-JBL. If your radio has the JBL logo on it (it is a small logo in the corner) you have the upgraded JBL system.

Hello Jon I have a cuestion I install this unit on my 2015 tacoma almost 4 months ago and a week ago started to not work ok like the radio started to auto research and the volume goes up and down automatically and when I try to use like the you tube app the screen goes black and the videos goes on and off did you ever have any of this issues with your unit at all if so can you help me out thanks

No issues on mine I am still using it. Didn’t you try a hard reset using a pin in the reset hole?

Aucar says they have an adapter for one. I think you may need to request it though.

Yes, it uses the zlink app to connect. The first time connecting takes about 5 mins. Then after that it connects really fast.

Anybody on here use it for a Tacoma that has the backup camera in the rear view mirror? If so does it transfer the backup camera to the display screen?
