It is wild for me to hear you talk about what you consider a “safe area.” You made the comment of, “this is a safe area… I could leave my door unlocked.” In the US what I consider to be a “safe area” is I can walk down the street at night as a woman without fear of being attacked or shot 😳
@bebisibeb Жыл бұрын
At least most states in the US allow you to carry... Here in NZ, your life is worth nothing to the criminal justice system because we gotta be nice and compassionate.

You have to visit the Nice suburbs of Hobsonville Point and Hobsonville. Lot of Newer houses here. Good motorway connectivity to both North shore and West Auckland. There are ferries to the City (one from Hobsonville Point, another from West Harbour)

The prices you mentioned in this video was before the huge increase in property prices in Auckland during the global Covid pandemic. Viewers must assume that rental prices are much higher now in Jan of 2021.

Flatbush is a good area but the problem is that the houses a very close to each other. My friend lives there and said that at night when its quiet he can hear his neighbor flatulate every night since all the houses in that area being built so close to each other. The other thing is the parking, there are 6 plus bedroom homes with only a double garage and you'll be lucky to get one where you have space for a couple of more cars or even 1 to park on your property and to make it worse theres no off street parking. Cant park on the road and some can park on only one side of the road. Big houses with alot of parking issues and the houses being built very very close to each other and asking for over a million dollars not worh it.

Hey .I think it depends on what you’re looking for. Personally I have had good and bad experiences staying with host families, but it is good for experiencing the culture. However if you find a house with NZ flatmates that would be good as well . unfortunately I don’t live in NZ at the moment so I can’t make any videos there

Catherine how much the price piece of land for living in newzealand suburbs near city (only land price)
@Catherinee3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the size of the land 🤠 I recommend looking at www.realestate.co.nz/

Over 500k for 500squuare meters or less. It's better to buy a section which has a rundown property so you can get rid of the house subdivide it build 2houses on it and either sell one or put it out on rent and live in the other one.
@gbosqueh2 жыл бұрын
This is indeed a nice guide but the medium prices are really outdated. Auckland became such an expensive city to live when it comes to rent/buy property.

Prices are inflated right how due to covid they will probably go down in a couple of years
@gbosqueh2 жыл бұрын
@@angrytoilet24real98 with all respect, such an illusion. Prices were high before covid. They are the way the are cause of the market. Housing is no longer seen as a right, it's a stock. Our families have to compete with multi-million foreign investors for the very few available houses.

@Catherinee4 жыл бұрын
kinda depends, but for most retail/hospo places yes we do get paid weekly :)
@826roo3 жыл бұрын
It's on average about $420+ a week rent for a 1 to 2 bedroom house , some places pay monthly some pay fortnightly and some pay weekly just depends on your job and where your work and what your work title is 😊

I've been offered a job in Auckland (Albany). I'll be moving from Australia and I am concerned that as a single person who doesn't want to share a house, live in a flat in someone's back yard, rough suburbs, or have to drive more than 30 minutes each way to and from work that I am going to struggle with the cost of living, my income before tax will be just under 80k a year. The company who is offering me the job isn't offering me much advice on where to live over there which I find concerning. Am I freaking out about nothing or should I be worried? I don't want to be spending half of my wages on rent.
@Catherinee3 жыл бұрын
well I'm no expert but if you want a one bedroom apartment around Albany, it will be around $450NZD a week (the further from the city the more space you can get) which is about a third of your salary, so I think you could afford it.
