the trouble you can HEAR the trains fart at the end of the trip, and you get more stops per trip by the bus, AT is so handicap they have not heard of silencers to pass the escaping air through.

Shame we can’t have rail across the rest of NZ, has anyone thought of High Speed or Higher Speed rail between Wellington and Auckland?

Unless you remove level crossings the roads will become total gridlock. It's gonna be chaos. The CRL will allow trains every 4 minutes. The barriers will be down permanently if commuting by car during peak times. Remove them while you're shutting down the network anyway. The barriers come down long before the train shows up and it's both directions every 4 minutes - barriers will be down literally 50% of the time. Has anyone modeled this and worked out what will happen the roads around these crossings?
