I`m not a auction type person, i enjoy your videos but we as consumers are interested in what a item may cost. Hopefully you can share your next video at an auction in letting us know the items and the price of what you buy or what others are purchasing. This will help us in deciding if auctions are something we would consider. Again thank you for your videos and your knowledge.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, in the last ten years there has only been two machine shop auctions in my area. (used to be one every 6 months). Seams to me that the auction climate has now changed. Resellers are generally able to outbid the home gamer. (lots of stuff finds its way to Ebay ) Jim, I actually don't recommend auctions for the average home workshop. For entertainment value, sure. . . to save money, unlikely. . . especially when considering the value of time.

Nearly all auctions went to online only and many are staying so. Prices seem to be the same or better dependent on advertising and timing and luck. Lot of new Chinese crap selling over retail regularly though. Look at BarNone auctions in Sacramento, Ca. for a good take on the current situation. They sold a ton of new lumber recently for more than if Lowes delivered it to you.

A lot of that stuff runs on phase 3, so make sure your house/workshop is hooked-up for it..
