From what I heard the lcd5 easily compares to Susvara with clarity and resolution. The Elite is way behind both.

great review mate! Can you compare u12t vs meze elite. I know iems and headphones are different classes but I just wanna know if the in ear form leads to a bigger punch factor. Apart from the soundstage how far is the u12t from the meze in terms of detail, sound seperation and punchiness. Thank you for all these awesome reviews.

I'm glad you're enjoying the reviews! In terms of detail, they're definitely in the same bracket, but obviously there's a big difference in how an open-back vs. IEM presents that detail. U12t probably has stronger separation, but not by much. The "punchiness" I think the U12t might win out of the box, but the LCD-5 can really take a lot of EQ, and with some adjustments it can punch the U12t right out the window.

Did you like it more than the DCA stealth ? The stealth is such a strong competitor
@BloomAudio2 жыл бұрын
They're somewhat different. I think I might prefer the overall tuning of the Stealth, but LCD-5 has a little more emotion to its presentation where Stealth can feel more clinical.

how do these compare to the 7hz Timeless with the Linum SuperBaX cable and paired to a ifi Diablo....
@BloomAudio2 жыл бұрын
That's kind of a tough comparison between IEMs and headphones from different classes, and I haven't heard the 7hz Timeless, so I can't really speak to any similarities or differences between the two.

I'll have to stick with the Audeze cans which I own already, the EL-8, LCD-2 and LCD-X. It doesn't make sense to me to explore the LCD-3, the LCD-4 is discontinued so far as I have heard and not much less in price than the LCD-5 or even the CRBN. None of those are within my means. I do appreciate the weight reduction of the LCD-5 and CRBN. I do wish I could get my hands on a pair or three of the same leather pads that came with my LCD-2, however. The pads on the LCD-X are different and kind of scratch my ears.

Why not saving money and buy when u have enough?

@@mikedergalev Because I am 60 years old and disabled after two stair falls and I have bigger fish to fry at this point than to keep spending more and more cash on headphones when I am perfectly happy with the headphones I have. I just want to listen to music at this point.

You can't make reviews when you sell the product in question. This isn't a review, it's a display or advert.

I totally understand your perspective. I look at it this way: I'll have ten people call or email the store this week asking about the LCD-5, and I'll want to give them an honest impression of the sound, a comparison to other headphones they may be familiar with, and an evaluation of what DAC/amplification they'll want to use with it. Our video reviews are a lot like those conversations that I have every day. As a store, we also have to deal with the fact that if we hype a product too much, we're going to get a lot of returns if it can't live up to it. So while our reviews tend to be quite positive, we try to balance it out with honest information that might also indicate to some people that it's not the right headphone for them.
