Makes you miss the olden days, when you just had to remove a couple of hoses and perhaps the spark plug leads, to be able to unscrew the cover.

Exactly what I needed. You are a legend! Changed spark plugs on my audi tt mk2 and found oil on ignition coils and spark plugs. Pretty sure I need to change the gasket. hope it is similar to yours..?

Hi, I would like your input please, I have a VW Golf MK1 2008 Model, 1.4 fuel injected, I washed the engine at home and it started to misfire. I replaced the spark plugs and checked that all are still firing. What I noted was that the car was over-fueling as there is always a strong petrol smell from the exhaust with black smoke.
