Audi 1.8TFSI Stage 2 Tune Pull CDAA

Little video demonstrating the acceleration on our Stage 2 250BHP 1.8TFSI (160BHP Standard) model A3. These can easily see 210BHP at stage 1 and up to 250BHP at Stage 2 (Decat downpipe & the mods below)
This car is producing 230BHP at the wheels & the mods are as follows:
A3 1.8TFSI 160BHP CDAA MED17
DV+ Diverter valve upgrade
Latest genuine AH revision PCV
Latest genuine K revision chain tensioner
Pipercross intake system
Milltek non res cat back (Large bore decat downpipe waiting to be fitted)
Spulen upgraded large bore turbo intake & discharge pipes
NGK BKR7EIX Spark plugs

Yo man, i really like the 1.8 tfsi 8P facelifts. Would you say its worth the risk with the known high oil consumption in these? i would definitely bang a remap on it as soon as i buy one (if i do get one!)

Matti De'Beer I have this engine, I m getting it rebuilt before I go into remapping it.As it is stock, the oil consumption destroys my spark plugs every once in a while, adding more power will surely not benefit that.You will have to get it rebuilt anyway because the oil consumption gets worse and worse.I want to get it mapped after it s rebuilt, I ll get more power as well for sure than in an engine with lower compression.Other than the oil consumption, the engine is great, no other problems

@@robertmitrea3251 That's good information :). Although i just missed out on a really good deal. There was a black edition a3 1.8 tfsi with 100.000 miles. But, it had the engine rebuilt by Audi. Really do regret not buying that car now :(. They seem like such fun cars.

Matti De'Beer yeah, that was a really really good deal, the cost of rebuilding it s somewhere around 4.000 euros but it fixes the problem completely (new pistons, new rings etc.) if the engine block is not damaged.I just hope my block is not damaged, 160.000km otherwise I ll have to find other mechanic to rebore the engine and get some oversized pistons (dealerships don t do that, they just replace the engine for like 8.000k euros, I am not 100% sure that’s the price) Really fun engines, it would have been perfect if it wasn t burning oil.I ll try some Motul 10w-60 oil to see if I can reduce the consumption until I can afford to rebuild it.Now on 5w-30.

Has the engine been rebuilt?I have the same engine but mine is burning oil, and I know these engine encounter this problem really often.I m thinking of rebuilding it and getting a similar setup.How is the reliability after the upgrades?

This is the original engine, no oil consumption on 5w40 oil. Reliability is very good after timing chain replacement.

What is the boost? I have 1.8 TFSI bzb and it struggles to make 1 bar

1.2bar. Check the diverter valve and for boost leaks. If all ok then its usually the actuator gone weak.

@@AGChiptuning I have a new Rev D DV, but it whistles on wot. My lambda is higher than spec.(0.87 instead of 0.82) engine load lower than specified, fuel pressure ok.

@@Deki757 are you using an air intake? that is usually the cause of the noise. I would check n75 duty cycle on wot against the boost specified vs actual to see if the turbo actuator is weak or not

@@AGChiptuning I have an custom intake yes, n75 dc is 100% in mid range. But I am worried about higher lambda, I have some timing pull also 3-6 degrees . I was told injectors could be dirty

Yes stock clutch with nearly 100k miles on it. This one had the 240mm clutch not the 230mm.
