Caliper bracket bolts should have thread lock NOT copper slip. This is bad!

Hi I have the 1.6TDI 2010. I don't have any brake sensor cables on either of the front brakes. Is this normal? Thanks

Hi, I am not sure this is the only A3 I have had. I would recommend looking to see if there are any cables in the wheel well that look disconnected. Good luck

Recently changed the rear calipers on my 8P and have bled the brakes but pedal still very low and going to the floor. I have been bleeding the brakes with the engine off, does leaving the engine on make a difference?

Hi, It sounds like you have got an air lock. I would do a two man bleed, with the person at the bleed nipple... opening the nipple when you press dowm and closing when you are at the bottom... this can help especially if your one man bleeder is not the best. Also you can get bleeders which use a hand pump... or air compressor... if you get stuck. I often turn a engine om to bleed... as the servo assist makes it easier to pump... although this shouldnt efect the actual brake line hygraulic system. Hope this helps.... and good luck.

@@twin2civicgaraget2cg75 Thanks for the reply, yes been bleeding with two people, but I think I will try again and bleed each corner, although the front bleeding nipples look quite corroded, hoping they will loosen with some WD-40! Cheers

I would always start with the caliper furthest away from the master clylinder... then go towarda the one which is closest. As long as the bleed nipples turn you should be ok. Replacing them if they are that far gone is never a bad idea. Cheers

Hi, I would usually bleed all four calipers are replacong one. This means that you arr changing all your old brake fluid too, amd should mean you dont have Ny air in the system. I would bleed the caliper you changed first. Then go to the furthest away caluper from the master cylinder, and work your way to the closest. Hope this helps.

I understand. You can be fine just bleeding the caliper you have changed. You can check the pedal feel once you have done this. In theory you shouldnt need to bleed the other lines, but it wouldnt hurt to. I would bleed the line of the caliper you have changed and check your pedal feel. Thanks

@@twin2civicgaraget2cg75 Hi, Does it cover flushing and bleeding the clutch at the same time and how e.g. which order; i.e. the clutch needs done at the same time....

@@Richard_L_Y Hi, if you look at my other videos, I have a video specifically on bleeding the clutch. On these cars the clutch and brake resevoir is shared, so you are correct in saying why not bleed both at the same time. Just make sure you dont get the resevoir too low on fluid as you dont want to suck any air into the line. As to which to do first, I am not sure it really matters. Thanks
