AUDI A3 8P - How To Remove Fuel Flap Actuator Solenoid Motor Location & Removal 2004-2012

Thanks for this. I discovered that the 5-door Sportback is slightly different but I got too far through the job before I thought about taking any pics. On the Sportback there are a couple of extra screws to remove from the side panel near the top seatbelt mounting. When removing the sound system box (it doesn't have the mounting frame) be careful that the top retaining washers don't drop into the void below. The actuator fixing screws are in the correct orientation and it's just a case of loosening them and sliding as per the video.

Its relatively easy to get the rod back in the flap hole. If you open the flap wide - take a look kind of North West from where the solanoid is and you should see day light. Took about 2 - 3 mins of gentle persuasion to feed it in

Don’t know how u got that back panel off so quick mine is way more difficult
