Until the bottom DRL stops working, then you would need to split the light to get to the inner module

So just to give a update.. my lower one also was out. Despite the new ballast they did not work. I lived without them being on. But your right of you want them to work... it's a open the whole light job.. or a new headlight.

Do you have dynamic turn signals light? I have same problem, but I don’t know if the ballast are the same.

No.. I had the flashing turing lights.. I fitted new ballasts and still didn't work.. only the turing lights were working. I have been told ther is another ballast inside the headlight which mean you need to open the headlight unit and replace that one. I just lived with them not working. I coded the rears instead (Scandinavian). Look much better imo.
