The worst car types in the world, a full jackpot of the anti-car-guy list: -front wheel drive platform (=front-heavy, compromised suspension design, horrible handling, absolutely no balance) -four cylinder -turbocharged -automatic gearbox -fake engine sounds played though the speakers -touch controls -totally unergonomic screen-laden interior -cheap "piano black" plastic to collect fingerprints -only understeer -nearly zero feel at all -absolutely insane pricing One of them is even from the mouth of car-hell itself: the Volkswagen corporation! The only things missing from the list are being an SUV and an EV. And yes, I've leased one of these cars for several months, I've driven countless cars over very many years (on road and track, from basic to supercars), I'm a scientist who researches the auto industry, I've studied at a technical university, I've taken apart and re-assembled engines since I was a teenager, and I'm a talented racer (coached by a F1 test driver), so I know what I'm talking about.

It is easy to put a blame to everything. If you are so good and smart as you said you are, propose better cars that satisfies same class.

@@mjuresic Basically anything else. Not many new cars, but they are around. How can you be so ignorant and lazy to not know that there are other car models in the world, just a huge selection?? It seems like you're "putting the blame on everything". I'd suggest Alfa Giulia for example. Even though that has many of the negatives at least that is a fantastic rwd platform and construction which is one of the best ever. Unfortunately four cylinders, but at least it's a great engine, put a tune on it and you're at over 300hp too. Actually older cars are better, like previous-gen F20 BMWs. I'd say a six cylinder rwd BMW is even better than Giulia on the whole thanks to the engine type...and market situation. In Europe you can get good BMW F20's with a long warranty as a lightly used car. Many don't even really need a hatchback but want real driving enjoyment so go with a MX-5 or Abarth 124 Spider. You need to carry stuff? Buy a hard top and put a ski box on it... There are many newer cars that are on proper rwd platforms which you can get on that budget, and you don't need fake AMG or whatever Audi pretends is sporty as with proper cars you can just buy base spec and it's fundamentally far better. Like Jaguar XE, I guess rwd Kias are good though I haven't bothered even trying them as I have no need to buy from corrupt South Korean chaebols who don't play fair in the global markets. Depending on where you live and what deals and maintenance you can get Chevrolet Camaros are MASSIVELY better, they're on one of the world's best platforms, have great engines, available as manual, and if you can buy a 1LE then it's supercar territory in its abilities. If you need space and comfort then Giulia, BMW F30...The BMW is great in that they're massively good from base sped and base engines already. Maybe just needs a stiffer spring set installed for a few hundred and you're having much more fun than most other cars! Mercedes W205 is great, but I'd recommend it only with certain engines and certain higher spec, with acoustic package and I like the versions with air suspension (though generally, usually air suspension is a worse compromise over steel springs) and actually the PHEVs are pretty great...for those whose totalitarian governments have dictated them on you through draconian tax codes. The Merc has an in-built launch control and FANTASTIC hybrid system control calibration which launches those things like maniacs from standstill! Actually the BWM 330e is far worse in power control from standstill but M-Sport versions are overall sportier and really fast: will keep up with S4 Audis, at least when I'm at the wheel, hehe! The BMW is sportier from the core, but the Merc is overall better for those seeking ultra luxurious comfort (with air suspension and acoustic package), and finally Merc has made their sports modes really pleasant and gets the seal of approval from sports-minded drivers! The Merc no longer has unforgivable flaws in the W205 generation, it's actually really mini-AMG-like and the steering is ok, gearbox ok, and handling has a bit higher-up feel but _really_ nice. Those are MASSIVELY higher bang for the buck and are actually good cars from the core. Not just cheap fwd garbage with lots of meaningless fakery sprinkled on top.

So you mentioned zero hatchback class cars. Undoubtedly you mentioned good cars, but none from the class that this video presents.

@@mjuresic Wrong. I mentioned BMW F20, which is a hatchback. And the whole point is that almost all hatchbacks are horrible cars. There's no point in choosing a hatchback, especially a new hatchback like these in the video.
