I was having an issue with a CEL of p0117 which is bank 1 lean at idle. So I replaced my o2 sensor with no change so I checked the check valves and they were cracked with pin holes.

2:49 exhaust manifold is broken. A huge crack between the three bolts. That causes the leakage. Oxygen from the atmosphere comes through that crack and makes lambda thinking that there is non-burned oxygen. Computer puts extra fuel.

Vent hose on the bottom of the coolant bottle, where does that go?

Thats not a good idea 💡! Now when you hit boost the pressure will go into the crank case and the brake booster ! Those check valves are there to allow vacuum to be pulled when throttle is closed and and to keep boost pressure from entering

Four year old thread, sorry, but wasn't there an electric vacuum pump for the brake booster?
@robertschris795 жыл бұрын
chris griner no there’s no vacuum pump for the brake booster. It Relies on intake manifold vacuum when the throttle is closed . There’s an electric air pump that comes on cold starts and pumps air into the exhaust to help heat up the catalyst for emissions
