This is my 2003 A4 B6 cabriolet. I needed to do the timing belt and I was unable to find any videos or manuals for this engine. Now at least there's this.

THERES AN EXCELLENT CONTITECH DOC ON LINE DETAILING CAM TIMNG AND CRANK TIMING. VICOUS FAN IS RH THREAD 2 32MM SPANNERS VERY TIGHT .

No mention of crank pulley marks or positioning ,or am i missing something .I think the top centre pulley that takes a drift ,must be a balance shaft ...maybe . Better than nothing but a few grey area i think

Quickest way to find TDC is to take off the oil filler cap. Rotate the engine till you see DT on the cam. Thats german for TDC

Well done, makes the job look less complicated. Is the pulley with the drift for the fuel pump? I dont think you will find a haynes manual, but I found a factory manual on emanuals.com website. Its very handy.
