1:05 G-000-200-A2 was replaced by G-004-000-M2. The latter was replaced by G-004-000-1L-DSP. 2:15 The max line is the top of the protruding tab on the right side at 20°C. The tab on the other side is when the fluid is 80°C. 2:20 Look for the leak inside the jacket of the hose where it passed through the driver’s side engine mount.

So far I haven’t found the leak and the level has not gone down. It leaked somewhere at some time but I am not seeing evidence of it yet. Thanks for the tips!

Worth flushing out the old fluid if it's not been done since new. Super easy job, just disconnect the return hose under the reservoir, place end of hose into a container with some power steering fluid and keep topping up with new fluid whist running engine.

@@clbeobIt will certainly prolong the seals so yes definitely worth doing. If your steering is 'notchy' and not smooth get under the car and clean out the u joint with wd40 or plus gas spray and a wire brush, next apply engine oil with a brush getting it into all the joints etc. I do that every 12 months and steering feels much better.

I recently brought my 2009 Audi A4 Avant to a shop to get the water pump and timing chain replaced, and they found the power steering fluid was low. Turns out, there’s a leak coming from the steering rack under the car. I just changed my oil and could see where the leak was under the car, so I assume that may be your issue as well. Time to fill up the reservoir and see how long it takes to empty!

WOW!!!! Thank God my Current allroad doesn't have that. My Ur allroads had to have the mineral oil, so I would keep some Pentosin for it/them.
