Audi A4 P2279 Intake Air Leak Fault *FIXED*

Audi A4 2.0 TDI 2014 B8.5 with P2279 Intake air leak fault stored in ECU , going into limp mode when boosting. Air leak test carried out with smoke tester and non present, further diagnostic work found fault to be MAP sensor giving incorrect readings.

You really saved my day, guys! Thank you for uploading this video. Had the same issue and replacing the map sensor solved my problems on a Q5 2015 (CNHA) 190 HP engine!

I change the sensor every year, fixes the problem. But it comes back after aprox 1 year...was hoping for a cracked pipe...

When others mechanics have worked on the car engine recently, l found a jubilee clip on the air intake pipe to the turbo not fastened and loose. Tightening this fixed my problem on a VW GOLF MK6 1.6 TDI CAYC. Had to clear the logged fault code P2279 with my VCDS software

@@nicktgreen hello, yes. My mechanic replaced the pcv valve and the breather hose. The new breather hose wasn’t the right fit so he put the old one back and the sensor code no longer came on. I hope this helps.
