This is so helpful, thank you! I'm about to soundproof my car and have no idea how any of this is done, but am trying to save a few hundred dollars. All of the other videos I found just say "remove head panel" and cut to it just being gone. God Bless this brother. Please follow his instructions down to a T, including the exact tools. I was stuck on just the first handle for over an hr doing it my way. I was stuck for hrs on trying to remove my headliner doing it my way. His directions got me through it all.

You might just be the life saver I was looking for. I need to replace the SharkFin GPS antenna on My 2013 A4 saloon. I'm assuming total removal of the headliner is unnecessary, that the rear handles and courtesy light removal would allow the liner to drop enough to access the back of the shark fin ? Perhaps through the rear door or through the hole for the light?

I dont have one on putting it back but you will just need a person on the inside or you will need to run back and forth to flex the board a bit. If I get another one in. I will show the reinstall. Marcus

Thank you and great question. The airbag caps are mainly there to hide mounting screws behind them to pillars post. When removing the headliner the airbag themselves are not affected they are mounted separately. Marcus

How much headliner do I need I drive the same vehicle but 2013 Audi a4 2.0t I’m trying to install starlights so I’d like to know the recommended amount of stars and how to wire to car

You would need 2 yards for the headliner board. 2.5 if you have a sunroof and 3 yards if you want to wrap the pillars as well. Wiring the Starlight is easy. Just run the black wire to the ground and the red wire to a power source that turns off when the vehicle turns off.

You can bend the flap in the back area of the headliner to get them back in place. It won't hurt the board any. Marcus

@@NhatNguyen-xs7kl Yes removing all the pillars are quite straight forward. You will need to remove the seat belt from the B pillars which there should be a bolt near the seat area.

I've seen another video where the backseats are folded down and you can bend the headliner a little around the edges to slide the entire thing out the trunk. Hope that helps. I need to do this for my A4 B8!

That headliner should be thrown away at this point it’s gone through too much bending and you can tell that it won’t go back to original after this abuse
