@@darrinsiberia what is a nasal rinse? I may need that. Marcus
@robertgelley64544 жыл бұрын
@@HeadlinerMagic You can get the nasal rinse from Costco, or any pharmacy like Walgreens or CVS. Neilmed is the brand that I use as they have the prepackaged salt and then you just have to buy distilled water. Definitely use distilled water and heat the solution in the container for about 20-30 seconds in the microwave, nothing longer than that as the water will get too hot. Then just bend over in the sink and squirt the solution up into your nose and enjoy the crud that will soon come tumbling out! lol Its actually something I believe everyone should do periodically. Always store the bottle without the top on to allow the container to dry and not get mildew etc between uses. I store my bottle in the cardboard box with the top wedged into one of the corners of the box. BTW Marcus, I agree wholeheartedly with all the comments above from others! You are certainly a professional and your presentation made it look so easy! Nice music too. One of the best how-to videos Ive seen!

Thank you very much for the best film on the headliner replacement. I plan this project, but not sure if this can be done at lower temperatures (around 50F)? Would it cause just longer times for glue to stick, or it can be other problems and better to wait when it gets warmer? Thank you again.
@HeadlinerMagic4 жыл бұрын
Hello Olena, you can do it in lower temps. Like you said you will just have a longer tack time for it to dry. This can be a good thing tho if you are spraying a larger area. Marcus

Well if you could do a video on the 1st Gen Lincoln Navigator, that would be amazing! Lol. I have some fabric, but it's not foam backed. Should I lay some foam down first to minimize creasing??
@HeadlinerMagic3 жыл бұрын
Laying the foam down first is definitely the way to go. But if you choose not to the process will still work as long as the board is clean of all debris. The amount of stretch in the fabric you choose to use will help to eliminate wrinkles.
@EscapePlanSkateboarding3 жыл бұрын
@@HeadlinerMagic Got it. Could I lay fabric over OEM headliner material?
@HeadlinerMagic3 жыл бұрын
@@EscapePlanSkateboarding Yes indeed EscapePlan Skateboarding. I love the screen names guys! You can definitely lay the new liner over the existing one if the integrity of the old one is still intact. You may have to use a bit more glue because the old foam headliner will absorb some of the glue sprayed. Marcus

Does this stain?
@HeadlinerMagic4 жыл бұрын
Not at all. If your referring to the adhesive. If you are referring to the cloth back headliner ability to get stained well that would be a yes. It can get stained by dirty hands, cigarettes' smoke ect... Marcus
@EJR204 жыл бұрын
Headliner Magic thank you for your response Marcus. I was referring to the adhesive. You guys’ headliner looks quite thick, making it hard for the adhesive to penetrate right? Do you think there would be a chance it would stain the slim factory headliners found in most European cars; that sag and just need to be adhered back on, obviously of course if someone was not careful and sprayed a little too much on one area, perhaps it would. I already purchased your adhesive btw, just haven’t got the time to use it yet.
@HeadlinerMagic4 жыл бұрын
@@EJR20 No the adhesive will not stain the headliner fabric as long as you shake the can well before spraying. This why you want to spray the board first and make sure the spray coming out is like mist silly string and not wet globs. I like using the 1/8" flat knit style headliners us on the European cars. I prefer it in most cases because it is flexible and tough. But I have had bleed thru when I have two much glue on the boards. Most of the time this will happen in a grab handle pocket. So I'm not perfect in that regards. I usually have a few choice works and either redo it or wait for it to dry more before pressing it down any more. You can usually see a streak coming thru as a warning if this happens. Being mindful on laying out the glue evenly and this will minimize the staining to zero. Great question Edgar, I hope this helps. Marcus

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience I saved it to my playlist. Great instructional video - I will watch this video several times over to build my confidence and ingrain the process in my brain. I might consider replacing my headliner. I am trying to resolve my water leaking into my 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck. I tested the sunroof drain tubes with only a cup of water yesterday. I initially tested the drain tubes while the truck was backed into the driveway; the water drained through the front drain tubes only; I did not notice water leaking from any other location. I started the engine, pulled out of the driveway and faced the truck forward; tested the drain tubes; the backseat passenger side did not disperse water; the backseat driver side dispersed water through the drain tubes, the front passenger side dispersed the water down the drain tube and also down the pillar through the dash; the front driver side dispersed water down the drain tube. Test Results 1 - the passenger side of the truck seems to be the problem.
@HeadlinerMagic4 жыл бұрын
If you haven't taken the board out then that would be the next thing you may find that the drain hoses have slipped off from there positions or the hoses could be damaged (dry rotted). Thanks for viewing.

@@HeadlinerMagic Just like the Billy Preston song | Will It Go Round in Circles - yes I have gone in a circle about headliners. I finally stopped all water leaking into my truck whether it is from rain, sleet or snow and car washes - actually a master/wizard mechanic in town accepted the challenge. My Mechanic has repaired two of our vehicle's air conditioning at a fraction of a cost. Every damn auto body shop only works through insurance companies. The two upholstery shops in town nearly doubled their prices: I know we have experienced high inflation, but a increase of 80%!!!! I inquired of both auto upholstery shops about different fabric [samples I purchased from Joann Fabric]: one shop says no to the material stating that the foam won't stick to the foam and the second shop says it can be done, but then the price creeps closer to $800.00 because he would glue to headliner fabric that has foam. I plan to return to Joann Fabric and learn if they sell the correct type of foam for headliners.
