Audi A6 3.2 - Air Filter Replacement

I usually drive on dirt roads. Some roads are so dusty, you can barely see. Fortunately, the car has a system in place to filter the air entering the engine. Besides the regular air filter, do you know there is an air pre-filter? In this video I am showing where to find it and how to remove and clean it. I am also showing "in detail" how to properly replace your regular air filter. I am explaining a few things about the intake hose which is the most difficult part to remove when changing your air filter.

I will try to speak a little more often, I promise 😅 Oh my A6 is also a 2005 model but I purchased mine a year after you, 2015. Currently at a little more than 280,000 km which should be 174,000 miles I think. Got it at 111,000 miles and shipped it to Africa so 63,000 miles with me so far. Car is holding up pretty well 😁

Thanks for the feedback. You don't absolutely need that snow screen. It depends on the market. I guess it's added to cars in regions where there is a lot of snowing.

Also will any size 5x20 fit or it has to be those specific screws from audi? I typed that model number in the audi parts store and it said that specific model number wouldn't fit my car

You didn't mention anything about the smallest o-ring on the air filter fitting into a hole or tube.

Oh I did not know that was a Russian letter. Good point about the filter change! You probably don't need to change it as often as I do. You probably barely see dust where you live 😁

@@ThatAfricanGuy That's right. But this summer is hot, dry, and dusty. Your dust is much more fun as it is red, unlike ours, which is just gray. Couple of days ago the diagnostic app had shown Secondary Air Intake fault, which is commonly attributed to the clogged air intake filter. So this evening I will have something to keep myself busy with.) That's one reason why I had to get back to this particular video of yours in three months time.
