@Dan Kenney I’ve investigated further as i don’t have the battery level option as well even tho I have same car. The option is unlocked by coding with a VAG program so you can access MMI hidden menu, then you need to navigate to battery and enable battery percentage reader, and then it will be under “car” button in the future ;)

Last time I unplugged whole battery and recharged at home and it's also working. I was scared that could make some errors in some ECU or it will confuse battery ECU but it was only way how to recharge it on a parking lot. I deleted a lot of errors in computer and it's working now without any problems. It's not recomended but if you are living in a flat it's sometimes only way how to do it.

Another great video!! Thank you. I heard the ECU settings may be effected when the battery goes dead or changed. Someone said only the dealer must reset the ECU after a battery change. Do you know if this is true?

Hey man, I need your advice again. You helped me avoid a $ 25K Audi a6. BUT today, I may test drive an older Audi, but I need your advice, PLEASE. They got an 2012 Audi A7 with around 63k miles for $ 20K price. I will look at it, later today. But is it worth investing in, because Scotty Kilmer on KZbin said NEVER get Audi's with the 2.0 turbo. So I'm asking, what is your opinion ?

A 2012 A7 with 63K miles for $20K sounds legit but still, check a few things. Can you share a link? Can you get a CARFAX report? Was the maintenance completed at a certified Audi dealership?

How do you open the trunk or boot if the battery is very flat?
Question - what kind of charger is needed and how long do you charge it ? Pardon me for asking, I'm "possibly" going to buy a 2017 A6. So if you can let me know these 2 things, please.
@Kokouvia2 жыл бұрын
You need a 12V charger. I explained how to know when the battery is fully charged in the video. The duration depends on the state of charge of the battery. However you may never need to recharge the battery in your 2017 Audi A6. The AGM batteries they come with are strong and powerful. I recently purchased a 2016 Audi A7 which is basically the same car underneath.

@@puyoles5 Sorry for the late reply. I do not have many options where I live so I just go with the best 100A battery I can find. You are supposed to have the battery programmed to the car but I already replaced my battery twice without programming it and I had no issues. If you can afford it, the ideal way would be to go to an Audi dealership to have the best kind of battery for your car + programming. If you can't afford the dealership quote, buy a good quality 100A battery at your local store. Make sure the size matches what you already have.

how long does it take to charge and what if I accidentally plugged out my battery to charge it???
@Kokouvia3 жыл бұрын
The time it takes to charge depends on the capacity and the state of the battery. As I explained in the video, the charger should help determine when the battery is full. The closer the needle gets to 0, the fuller is the battery. If you take out the battery to charge it, there is no problem at all. That is fine too.
