Audi A6 3.2 - Leaking Coolant Expansion Tank

My coolant expansion tank has been leaking coolant since a few weeks. I located the leaking point and tried to fix the leak, then two unexpected failures happened. This may happen to you too so get ready.

Thanks. Just ordered a new tank & hose since I have a crack in the bottom of my coolant tank (hopefully thats all it is). Seeing yours on the road gives me some hope to hold on to mine 🥴🤣

Haha! If you can't locate the leak around the tank, replace the cap. There's a gasket inside that dies over time. I have ordered a new cap myself because my new expansion tank is now overflowing when the engine gets very hot which it shouldn't.

Nice i had the same problem bro i broke antireeze tank while i was filling also with the T tubes same problem this happen that parts are heatet for so much period of time and they now can easy broke im thinking replacing all tubes in my audi a6 c6

i have sweet smell of antifreeze (?) in my car's saloon while it's heating and driving. cars has aux heating (webasto). any ideas how to fix that? thanks!

There is likely a leak in your coolant system. Where exactly, I can't say.

How do you think, how to reduce the sound of the engine in the cabin on the same Audi 2.4?

I am not sure to be honest. Maybe change the engine oil a little more often? A new air filter should also help I think. The engine wouldn't need to struggle too much to suck air in. What is the current mileage?
