@@Zabestinzawest It's not that big of a deal, most VAG engines (even their diesel engines) require the tensioners, guides and/or chains to be replaced if the engine has some mileage. Not regularly maintaining your engine oil can accelerate the process (stupid long life idea) but even 2L TFSI engines nowadays have the same issue. VAG doesn't know how to build reliable chain cam system. But when replaced in time or when first small symptoms start then you're good. Speaking out of experience, still driving an 3.2 FSi with over 200k miles daily.

You can hear that little slack, but they're great until they go, can even be fixed with an indy relatively cheap - for the performance and features, worth every penny as the depreciation curve drops fast.

@surena9451
@surena9451 Жыл бұрын
All ICE engines do unless your driving EV or electric only in hybrid. Normal consumption for 3.2 is 12-16 city, 7-10 highway. The computer just calculates the current fuel consumption and looks at how fast you are going for that consumption. In some VW cars the scale is higher and it shows up to 99,9L/100km when accelerating from standstill, so yeah. If you floor it in lets say 6th gear it will not read 40L/100km, but if you give it gas gently in first gear from standstill: Instant scale maxed out until some reasonable speed is achieved. Even if you stand still for hours your still burn around 2-3L per hour but because no distance is made your fuel usage is "infinite."

Adrians gamers LV you’re so right man. I have this exact car and my buddy has the a4 with this engine and his sounds way better. I thinks it’s because the a6 is more luxurious and Audi wanted as little sound as possible.
@surena9451
@surena9451 Жыл бұрын
The 2.4 sounds like it has forced induction when its in the higher revs. I never heard that kind of intake whistle/wind noise from the 3.2 when accelerating hard, the 2.4 was kinda unique in that sense for me. The 2.8 and 3.2 only sound deeper but not necessarily better in my opinion. 4.2 and 5.0/5.2 are a whole other beast in their own rights. 2.0TFSI is meh. You can try to find a video to compare the sound of 2.4 and 3.2 but it's not the same. When sitting in both cars you will hear the difference. VR and W engines sound great though, but those were only delivered to the A3 (3.2 VR6) and A8 (6.0 W12)

The car has 200,000 kilometers. When I had 180,000km everything was checked, including the distribution. And everything was fine. My unit has a very slight oil consumption, approx 400ml every 3000km. Before buying, check that all the services are done! Better ask at the Audi Center. It is a good engine! and don't be scared by your Q5!

If the fuel consumption and the almost 5 meters long are no problem for you. it all depends on the use that you are going to give it. The car is comfortable, has good qualities, the TipTronic gearbox does not give problems (at least to me). I think it is a good first car. but again I repeat, it all depends on what you look for in a car.
