AUDI A7 3.0 TSFI POV DRIVE [ APR Stage 1 + Cold Air Intake]

Decided to do a Lil POV drive of me driving the A7. It's a 2012 Audi A7 with a Stage 1 Apr Tune, Injen Cold Air Intake & Muffler Delete. Let me know if you would like to see more videos and if you have any questions.

1. If you don't get a transmission tune, you are leaving HP on the table. A stage 1 tune raises the redline to 7400 and you are auto shifting at 6250. Power is up top on APR Stage 1 or Stage 2 single pulley. 2. If you don't get a trans tune, and you are launching using AMAX, your transmission AMAX counter will be exceeded and it will never do an AMAX launch again, even if you tune it. 3. If you don't get a trans tune you will become aware that the car is rather stupid when it comes to shifting and throttle input. 4. You are launching incorrectly. a. Engine has to be warmed up b. Traction control off c. Car must be in manual or sport dynamic mode d. Wheels straight e. Push the brake f. Floor the car until the revs settle and don't release before then g. Release the brake and hang on. AMAX high torque shifting is active for the 1-2 and the 2-3 shift. With a trans tune, I drive in comfort with crisp clean imperceptible shifts. If you don't know the car fully and are driving in comfort on a stock TCU tune and you floor it to make the light, the car will do anything to stop you from feeling an aggressive downshift. This means you might run a red or get t-boned. Put the car in auto and it will drive in comfort unless you give some aggressive inputs, then it will downshift a few gears and move quickly. If you add paddles, one tap on a paddle makes the car to to manual mode immediately and all your problems will be solved. You need a HX and a trans tune. From there you can mod the car without worry. Your max summer temps are good for about 1 hit and then the car will feel soggy. The supercharger has an efficiency range and you are spinning it faster at 7300 RPM and it's outside that range. I'm Stage 2 dual pulley. APR CPS, APR Coils, AWE S-FLO carbon fiber intake and BG SQ5 trans tune. Fastest car I have seen with near my combo (no coils for them) runs 11.39. The supercharger is audible with Stage 2 alone, the intake makes it hella loud. People looking for the Hellcat, not me.

If you don’t already have apple and android carplay i’m almost 100% sure you can update your audi mmi (computer) system and then have it when you plug your phone in. My 2018 a7 has it and it’s the same interior/design as yours so your computer might just need an update for it

Bro your driving on comfort mode lol , you should be on dynamic or auto for more performance and better sound . Im thinking going I.E. ecu stage 1 and tcu tune. My local tuner told me to get apr , but when I asked him bout a trans tune he said I didn't need one. I kinda doubt that though

In the video I was driving in Drive Sport, plus there’s no huge difference between dynamic and comfort! Only difference is the steering gets a bit tighter, and the trans hold its shift longer. And yea trans tune definitely need tbh, I wanna do so much more with the car but I’m high mileage right now so kinda scared.

Dynamic mode changes the shift aggressiveness and throttle response also. Big difference. Comfort keeps the shifts smooth for comfort

How much was the tune and how much did the shop charge to install? Looking at a 2014 a7

Tune was $699, they didn’t charge me to install it. Got it done at Eurofed In Jacksonville Florida

How reliable has it been for you? How long you have it?

Been really reliable, mine had about 2 issues so far *knock on wood* but that's to be expected, I have over 150k Miles on mine but yea it's been good man, just stay on top of the maintenance and before you but ensure that there's previous maintenance work done to it.
