@vishalquake3 i know what you mean but i dont think its so much using 8th gear but more to do with how it affects the gearing of all the other gears. if you took 8th out then the engine would need to work more. but a 6 is fine, i dont really know where they are going with all these gears.

@leoncarbon tHis is the normal one. If you listened what he say you can hear that he set:"and you have got one with a longer wheelbase". So this is the normal one. I haven't seen a L at the back next to the engine label.

@dCydia I think my side of this argument comes down to the fact that quality and comfort in the form of a vehicle do not have to cost nearly 100,000 dollars. Audi creates amazing, top-quality cars, but also understand that they are a business, and it's about making money. People recognize Bose as high quality because of advertising when in reality its performance does not match its cost.

Not much of a fan of pricey luxury cars like this but I do have to admit the night vision is cool. Would be useful for in the fog and to avoid wildlife as well.

@sarokas12 That's why I don't watch these "reviews" for opinions. I watch them for car specs and camera shots of the car. I go to the dealer if I really want to see about "leg room" and "interior space/quality"

@S3xiepapi69 u Unlikely for the next s8 to have v10. Most car companies are ditching them for turbo v8s (ie. bmw etc). They are lighter and have same or more HP/torque and better mileage.

Well using higher gears = better economy, but an 8th gear can only be used at super high speeds. The max speed maybe 155 mph but even at that speed the revs wud be very low even on the 7th cog so... Apparently the BMW 7 series has a 400 bhp V12 engine variant which has an 8 speed, but the V8's only get a 6 speed box !!

its like the more posh the car is the more gears it must have. 7 just wont do anymore. just makes the car always have power i guess so it doesnt have to work the engine so much so its more economical and smooth.

It is so dull it is like a giant A4, it has the stupid clock copied from the S-class, the wrap around dash lifted from the XJ, and the sat nav from the 7 series. It just doesn't have the masculine presence of the old car. Poor show Audi.

audi fucked up the a8 by changing the grill i mean domesticating the look of the grill now its no longer a big boy look it looks feminine! they made the leds of the a8 look less cool than the audi a4 wich is a bad thing! you pay more for a a8 but a a4 looks more upscale what a stupid move by audi!
