well it was like that. car started throttling when it was full on gas and when gas was low it worked normal. if it was opposite it would make sense. so car on the end it didnt even go over 130kmh. so i drove it to my mechanic he plug it on pc didnt show a thing. then i drove to 2 more, then on original service when it stood for 3days, they even make calls to germany, all said it was the first case. all of them said about 5most expensive things that could be wrong. then i drove it to a friend, who fixes luxury cars from all around europe he drove he didnt have a clue. then he recomemnded me a guy who only work on marcedes. i drove to him he had it for 2 weeks. it finally showed for less then 1sec error on one of the *nnozzles not sure if it is the word*.then i said ok lets try even tho its the most expensive thing. he change all of them and he said it was weird the car was even still driving couze they were completly burn. so y i spend about 1500€ for all, was actually was very cheap. i should pay aldredy 1000€ on original service but everybody went on my hand..:)

As far as breakdowns there really haven't been any. If you do your maintenance they will last a long time. I hope they never quit building these and don't go to an electric version. They get pretty good fuel economy too. We're averaging 24 mpg. The American car companies are way behind what this one will do..

But is different one of each other. Sorry for my bad english, if u aint understand me use google traductor. A q te referis con dinner restaurant? I'm a BMW person. I drive 5 series and as much as I thought I'd always want a 7 series, I sat in one and I wasn't impressed. This however is a totally tech fest. I've not enjoyed many Audi's that I've been in, but their design is improving (in my opinion, as I've never really liked them much). This looks like quite a fun car to play with, and it's safety and convenience features look great. Love the subtle animated lights when they turn on and off.

cool tech. I have 1 legit question however. The side impact test where the car raises 1 side. If a car hits you and the vehicle elevates itself like that aren't you just asking to be rolled over easier? I assume its to provide more metal frame protection for the passengers or something but seemed odd to me.
@VainMio2 жыл бұрын
there is actually bigger chance to get rolled over, but at the moment the car is about to roll over it will elevates the second side :))
@IronWarrior952 жыл бұрын
When a car comes at you from the side, the strongest part that gives the most kinetic energy impacts at the lower and middle part of the door. When the car raises at this side, it raises the lower frame to a much higher position and the frame is much stronger than the door and can take a lot more kinetic energy than the door itself, so more energy is observed by the frame and less on the door, which means the door won't be pushed so far inside and the person won't get the door pressed at or into him, which means a much lower potential for injury and a higher chance to survive. Rolling over would be prevented by the other side raising, ones this side is getting pushed up in the air. But even if the chance for the car rolling over would be higher, it would be still a better deal than getting more force into the door closer to the core of the person. At one case there could be the question "how much gets the person injured or gets he even injured at all?!" And on another case there could be the question "will this person survive the accident, even when he looses his ability to walk?!" And the answer would be: "he survived, only because the car protected him."
@danamoradi60312 жыл бұрын
Good point, I didn't really think about that, and I guess in a sense you are correct, but the point of it is that the car will hit harder materials such as the wheels, which will reduce the impact to the passengers, which is why on the S-Class it raises the ENTIRE body about 8 inches.

The best thing about this car is the suspension in my opinion. That little lean it does to the side before impact could save lives. All that energy from the car hitting your side door is gunna push you into a roll which is better for your organs. Rear wheel steering looks awesome it reminds me of a Snake Board. All that parking gadgetry is alright if you're awful at parking but for those that aren't it looks painfully slow.

people keep saying "it will cost a fortune to fix when something goes wrong" which is a dumb response because people who can afford to buy a luxury car probably arent worried about money and probably wont even have the car long enough for warranty to run out. And it doesnt really drive itself, it can just assist with basic driving that a computer can process but I wouldnt trust the sensors completely with my life and the parking thing is just handy in the city where parking can be really tight and underground.

very true, though it can get very very costly. The father of a highscool buddy of mine had a second hand A8 (one year old) which had adaptive suspension amongst many other cool options. Not as high tech as the 2018 model has but it would still do things like lower itself at higher speeds and adapt it's ride-height too the road etc. One day he goes to step into his car and it's sitting crazy low, almost as if it was slammed. So he had to drive it to the dealer at snails pace going over speed bumps diagonally as if he was a ricer idiot. They diagnosed it and the control chip for the suspension was f*cked. No biggy cause the chip was "reasonably priced" at around 450 euro's. Replacing is wasn't a small feat though. They had to pull the entire block out of the car to get to it. 450 euro part, 7000-8000 euro's in labour. little over 1/10 of what he paid for the car in repairs. He could afford the repair no problem but he sure as hell wasn't thrilled to fork over that kind of money. Luxury cars are filled to the brim with fancy electronics and systems that will fail you at some point and when they do it's a pretty hefty bill. - One because they are exclusive cars to begin with so parts aren't readily available. - Two because it usually has to be done by certified dealership mechanics and those have a pretty steep hourly rate. - Three, and this goes for most modern cars but more stuff there is in the car = less room to work with, getting to a module or part is usually a pain in the ass and it's labour intensive. It's pretty well known that modern luxury cars, for example BWM's, are awesome the first 5-7 years of their life but after that you shouldn't be surprised it slowly starts to 'fall apart'. Weird electrical issues start popping up all over the place. Things like; windows going down but not up , systems going 'HAL9000' on you causing all sorts of weird things to happen to lights/wind wipers etc. sometimes caused by something you'd think has nothing to do with said system. like a broken radio-unit (happened with some Mercedes models) or you steering wheel audio controls. Those kind of issues are very hard to diagnose and source because it's usually some kind of combination of issues that causes the problems.
