Loving the staged approach to the dyno, well done. Although the B9 is probably the better platform, I prefer that scream of the B8 supercharged.

So it looks like the b8 Audi can drop more power than the b9 with a stage 2 tune. Then if you go stage 2 with a dual pulley & tune your easily making 540whp. Can the b9 get numbers up there
@VancityAudi2 жыл бұрын
A Stage 2 Dual Pulley B8 S4 makes more horsepower, but much less torque than a Stage 2 B9 S4. A Dual Pulley and tuned B8 S4 are nowhere near 540whp. I own a 10 second Dual Pulley, Throttle Body B8 S4 and it makes 465whp on an uncorrected Mustang dyno.

@VancityAudi2 жыл бұрын
@@yeezyyee7200 540whp is very, very different than 540hp, lol. 540whp would mean it makes over 600hp at the crank. 540hp is already measured at the crank and is very believable. That's roughly what my car made. I'd personal dump money into a B9 and not a B8. The upcoming potential of B9's will be superior in my opinion. Plus it is a more modern car.

I’m concerned with the trans handling the power increase after tuning. Do you have any concerns or issues with it? I’m on the fence about tuning mine. Thanks
@VancityAudi2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't be concerned with it at all. These ZF8 transmissions can hold a ton of torque. These nearly identical transmissions come in a variety of high performance vehicles and plenty of those make much more torque than our cars do when they're stock. My car has not shown a single sign of having any issues once I increased the power as much as I have.
@DavidMoore123453 жыл бұрын
so the tune works like flexfuel, if you put e60 or e85 or e68 it will simply adjust itself so it doesn't matter how much E content you have as long as its between e60-e85?
@VancityAudi3 жыл бұрын
Working like Flex Fuel would mean you can put any type of fuel in and it will adjust from 91 octane, to 93 octane all the way up to E85. That isn't the case with this. Once you have tuned the ethanol file you can only run an E60-E85 content. Anything less or more than that would be potentially hazardous. I would imagine that if you run an E60 blend you may see some timing corrections. I would also imagine that if you run straight E85 your fuel system will be working harder to maintain the fuel pressure needed. I personally would run an E70-E75 blend if this was my car.

Love your videos but there’s no way the crank hp figure is 350hp and the Dyno is reading stock power at 357 WHEEL Hp. Unfortunately it may be another dyno that’s actually showing more what the car is making at the crank not wheel.
@muskytuned3 жыл бұрын
No. You are forgetting that the car has Stage 2 boltons and is running Pumpgas blended with 18% Ethanol. On normal 91 octane fuel the stock tune baseline numbers would be down around 40whp from the initial results. Then take away all the modifications and the result would be even lower. That being said, Audi's typically under-rate their vehicles HP numbers.
@Famous_Flavours3 жыл бұрын
Unlikely as the result of adding modifications without a tune adjustment rarely yields any more than 5-10hp. As for the fueling again manufacturers generally don’t show much difference putting premium fuel/eblends without a retune
