Since nobody answered you, did you ever find out your issue? I just bought a '12 S4 and it doesn't drive because my P17D400 code and seriously jerky transmission. Did you find fix?

@@VigorousZinc Before you did the whole replacement, did you do the repair kit first? Just curious, I have the repair kit ready to go but....I don't have high hopes. Thanks for the fast reply!

@@jgizzy I’m not entirely sure. The repair kit has like 2/3 solenoids and the wiring harness part, if not mistaken. I sent mine off to be rebuilt and they rebuilt some solenoids and replaced internal hardware. Still same code. I think mine had something internally wrong with one of the bores inside (just a guess). You could give it a shot. It’s possible I had another solenoid that they didn’t replace. I don’t think they replace everything.
