Just had my 2021 Q4 upgrade completed and this makes the myAudi app much more useful! One other addition (for me at least) was that I can now finally see the location of the car in the app (at least at the time the car last sent an update)

Great video Got my car just before the update and had problems with breakers , took it back Audi Edinburgh , update been fixed and it all good to go.

20 months 😱 That’s an epic wait. What took so long? Was it something in the surf that held it up (eg electric seats)?. I’m glad you can finally enjoy it 👍🏻

@@edinreviews I don't even have electric seats 😄 I don't know why, but a lot of people have to wait really long. One feature I think is missing is a way to limit the amps when it's charging so you can charge it slower. I hope they add that.

@@KlaasDeforche I think that’s what the target and timer do now. It optimises the charge so that it reaches the target just in time for your departure. Will try it out next week if I get a chance👍🏻

Can anyone sum up the difference between 3812 and 3669 (the one I have on my 2/2022 built Q4 50 P+). I received 🤷 response asking US dealers to apply the update to 3812.

FYI the software version on my new Q4 e-Tron 50 Quattro is 3844, not sure if this was installed at the factory or at my dealer, or if it was updated over-the-air.

It's good to see Audi updating the Q4 software, but they have a lot of catching up to do if they are going to compete with the software offering from Tesla.

Why o why does a SW update take days? Surely with download speeds and local dealer held copies (?) it should take minutes?

I think it’s a total of over 40 things being updated. Mine was done 24 hours after being dropped off, but other people have had it take much longer

Just a little question because I saw you are having the satellite view.... had it also when collecting the car, but stopped after 1 month. Do you have the connect & infotainment plus ?

Yeah, just checked the equipment on the app and it says connect navigation and infotainment plus (36 month subscription).

I don’t think so. You definitely couldn’t on the original software, and there’s nothing in the press release that suggests you can now 😞

Strangely enough, most of the additions you mention in the video, have been in my car since I bought it in June 2022. Except for the themes... The car even charges at 145kW since the beginning. Why did it take so long to get this update, earlier model?

Mine was delivered in Nov 21 so probably built Sept. As far as I know 3.2 was included from in cars from week 35/2022. They only announced the roll out of the update in March this year, and have been updating in batches since then.

Just two another 3 quick errands. First two time I stopped it remembered (efficiency and dynamic). Third time I had it in range mode when I stopped and it defaulted back to Auto when I got back in

You have been driving q4 for a while, what’s the true range of if ?

It’s hard to say as there are so many variables! At the moment I’m barely having to use either the air con or heating so for the last 3 weeks my average consumption has been 4.0 m/kWh so in theory just over 300 miles. A few weeks back I managed my best ever which was 4.4 m/kWh so over 330 miles! I’d say 260-270 miles is about normal, maybe 250 with a lot of motorway. In winter it drops to about 230 when you start using heating. Roof box also drops it to 230 ish. If you really try (I did this for a video) you can get it down to 130 miles!!!!

I contacted them and they checked the chassis number as apparently the update is being done in batches 👍🏻

At last. Amazing. Did you unplug your dash cam before you took it in or just left it plugged in? I had read someone ran into issues with a third party reversing camera with the update so just checking.

After watching your videos, i am struggling between choosing a Tesla model Y or the Audi Q4 Sportback. Love the Audi looks over the Tesla and there is the fact that i've had bad expereinces with Audi dealships in the past,.. also the real world range might be just a little short for me,.... i need something that will get me from Stirling to Manchester in one charge in both summer and winter.(245 miles). What is the max range of yours (motorway miles). Love your vids by the way ... Audi should be paying you. :)

I wish lol. I must have the most video’d Q4 in the world 😂 Motorway miles in perfect conditions you could probably do 245 miles in the summer, but no chance in winter. Even my relatively low speed commute drops the range to 230 miles.

Definitely go for the Audi, the model Y: - bad shock absorbers; - huge turning circle; - no parcel shelf; - small outside mirrors; - no physical buttons for the AC or heated seats; - no lever for the turning signal; - Spartan interior; - Lowers in value/ price every few months; - Looks like an overweight model 3; - etc.

​@@edinreviewsI manage to get in between 280 and 320 mi in summer conditions. Max speed during the day in the Netherlands is 60mi/ hr. Traffic jams have a very positive effect on the range. In winter conditions between 220-250mi.
