Interested to see if this would still win over the petrol 2.5T GV70 alternative like the diesel to diesel comparison.

Recently took delivery of a Q5 Sport 45. Love the car, the review is just as we have experienced so far. I was initially keen on air suspension due to past reviews, but dealer had the spec we wanted coming but without air suspension. We have found on sub-standard country roads we often drive that the standard suspension on 19” wheels is awesome compared to other cars we have currently and owned in the past.

I have a Mercedes with an MBUX and it has touch screen, touch pad and voice control. I can say rotary dials are not it, but the touchpad is amazing. I don't ever use the touch screen just always the touchpad.

@@charleshardingham4863 I use it sometimes, but often I accidentally change the song so I just use the touchpad. I bought my mum a GLC300 4MATIC, and it took her a good six months to get used to it. It was technology overload as she had come from an Audi. I have driven it and I definitely prefer the gearbox in the GlC over our dual clutch setup which can be rather aggressive. How do you find the suspension? I was very unimpressed with the GLC when I drove her in her car, if you go over a bump it is very very firm, same for our MB we have. The Audi soaked up all the bumps much nicer on uneven road I found but that's the only criticism I have of both MB products. Ours has been slightly problematic though needing a new battery after a year because the stop start wouldn't activate. Going into neutral when driving in eco mode and MB can't fix it as the software update hasn't been approved for AUS and now it's just come up two days ago saying left windowbag fault, consult workshop. All minor inconveniences, but still for a grand new car well over 65 thousand dollars you don't expect this do you.

@@lukiejames I optioned Airbody control [air suspension] and Im so glad I did. It gives a beautiful ride, not floaty. In sport mode ist even better. Sorry that you are having some issues with the GLC. Ours is 2019 with 24000k and hasn't missed a beat. Just luck, I guess. MB has a more premium cabin and the MBUX system is far superior to the Audi offering IMO.

@@charleshardingham4863 I wished i optioned that for my mum but she hasn't complained. I only noticed it when I drove the car and thought wow that's very firm. They are beautiful cars and we both love the fact the servicing is only once a year. I put every package available and bermister sound system is incredible and all of that but I didn't think to do the air suspension! I know for next time! Her absolute favourite thing out of all the options I put on was the 360 camera so she can see if she's in her park lines at the supermarket. Makes me wonder why I bothered with all the others 😂😂 I negotiated a good deal too, $89,800 from $112,000 so I was pleased with that. Well to me it seemed like a good deal for a brand new car She only drives to the shops and back so I think in a year and a half she's done 13,000km. She was very keen on 4matic because when she had the Audi it was front wheel drive and in the wet with the turbo it would just skid around and spin the wheels and she said it made her feel unsafe. I am incredibly impressed with these 4matics, you can be in heavy rain and absolutely no slipping. Our A45 is almost 2 years old so we think we will sell and get the new c300 with the regular gear box like the GLC and then it will be more smooth and not crashing over every bump because it's so low and no more sport seats! If you didn't crawl over bumps in this hatch you would literally take off your front bumper. We are waiting for it to become available to inspect, they have said it's anytime soon and it can't hurt to get a new car and benefit from the 5 years warranty as ours at the time was only 3 years.

I think that the colour option of this vehicle is lovely. On ethnic I wonder about with European vehicles is why they generally only include seat heaters? If you have ever sat in a leather seat on a stinking hot Australian day then you would know why they should be fitted with seat cooling.

That squeaking door grab handle would drive me mad and that central screen should be integrated. A4 Avant or Allroad is a far better choice with svelte looks, good space and a far better drive.

All Audi cars are being sold with items missing from the Premium Plus package you only get one key fob ,steering wheel adjustment power is also missing from the package . They are having a huge issue with the Key user not working ,that means you can not set up most of the features of the car or use the MMI this is totally unacceptable there are folks that bought 2021 vehicles last year still do not have there other key fob from Audi . Until they fix these key issues i would not buy a Audi ,i have owned several Audis just bought a 2022 and they told me everything was working until after i had paid for it .

I really like the previous face of this car. Not sure how I feel about the more "modern progression" in styling, with this Q5. It's like Audi has stopped tailoring their suits to wear, and have gone to the fast-fashion stores to keep up with the trends from Toyota/Kia/Hyundai etc.

Tan interior looks good. Great instrument cluster. Touchscreen still retarded. District Green paint is subjective. John and Jenny Jones will hate it. Black trim with white or silver paint is the only way to live. Audi reliability unfortunately still sliding in the reliability surveys. Warranties not worth much when they throw you under the bus.
