This video is misleading, this does NOT reset 'service now' message. Only oil service interval. You need special tool to reset the message itself.

This is for the change oil notification not service due. Service to reset requires additional steps.

Just tried the same on my Audi 2012 Q5 and it shows reset complete, but still the message is showing! Any suggestions?

This only resets oil service not inspection.

@@TM-9527 You would need to use a scan tool, but not one of the cheap ones that just clears codes, it needs to be a real full on scan tool, unless you work at a shop your best best is to just go to the dealer. Sorry for the late reply.

This is for oil reset, not service.

The oil level option doesn't always work as quickly as I would want it to... but both are handy features!

How long can it take in your experience Thomas? I am sure you have done many of these types.

@@GerardBurkeBurkesGarage It's weird... sometimes it will register fairly quickly (under 5 minutes). Other times it seems like more than 10. It's probably what I do that causes the delay. I add the required amount of oil and either check while the car is still on the hoist or I check after the final test drive. In most cases, the engine needs to be warm & off (key on). Other times it will register OK while the engine is at idle. Other times I drive it around the block let it idle or engine off & key on... and it still hasn't registered. I might see these systems more often than most, but I'm still clueless as to the exact method / drivecycle. LOL

On a 2016 Audi Q5 Premium Plus, doing this procedure did not turn off the service due message on gauge cluster display. The mileage interval has been reset for oil change, but the service due message still pops up. This video is useless.

Romario Richards I have a 2012 Audi Q5 and that came up on my dash and I tried to clear it by resetting the oil change interval and it didn’t remove the “Service Due” notification. Pretty sure you have to go to an Audi dealership and have it removed if it really bothers you that much. I personally don’t mind it.

Sorry, but you did not reset the Service Due sign, you only reset the Oil Change Interval. You need a tool for that.
