Audi Q5/SQ5 B8 Headlight Bulb Replacement | Upgraded to LED

Today I decided to change the headlight bulbs on the SQ5, the car still had the original bulbs from factory. I've been wanting to upgrade the bulbs to something more bright and reliable, I did a lot of research online and found out that LEDs are actually not bad. This car takes D3S bulbs, which is what I got in LED, they did not disappoint. Please watch the video until the end to see the difference they make compared to stock ones.

Thanks for the add! I've been looking everywhere for someone upgrading bulbs on my type of car. Been seeing what would be the best match to Audi projector style headlights, and this did it for me. What year is your car? and you mentioned the OEM bulbs were old, were they OSRAM or Phillips?

It's only a pleasure. My car is a 2015 model and the Xenon bulbs were Philips D3S, they were old.

@@fullthrottle011 , ah. I must have the same thing then, mine is a 2014 35w HID. They must be old too. Cannot see more than 5-6 car lengths on a dark road

@@fullthrottle011 , wanted to check in with you to see how yours were running. I bought the ones you mentioned, and some from Amazon. The ones like yours had to get shipped from China, so I just put on the Amazon ones in the meantime. Only thing is the eBay ones show they are 40w in the description (stock is 35w). I was hesitant to ruining anything, so thought I'd ask you if you had any issues. Maybe 5w doesn't make that much difference?

@@nickmartinez8067 I hear you, mine are 35w which matches stock bulbs, I didn't want to buy anything higher than that. So far so good, no issues with the bulbs. I wouldn't run anything higher than 35w because ballasts are meant for that power only, that's just my opinion.

@@azizmeknasi3137 I used the same size wattage bulbs, maybe check if yours are the same 35 watt as OEM
