@carsales it's more than brand loyalty. It's the unquantifiabily of knowing that you're driving a car that is not going to sell you short whilst using it. It's that feeling of calmness and confidence that you get. Not knowing why or even thinking about the why, it's, I bought a car that promised me this and I know it's going to deliver that expectation. If marketing could bottle this unknown, it could sell it everywhere. Maybe not everywhere because the politicians would line up first to buy it. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to declare my consumer sentiment on a product I value. This is my third Mazda, and they have all been the same. Finally, no, I don't work for them or have any financial interest with them.

Mazda CX-60 with the ironic 3.3 turbocharged L6 only 209kw against the Audi Q5 with 2.0 turbocharged L4 with minimal 183kw; CX-60 deserves a power boost to 276kw and Q5 also deserves a 232kw boost.
@netsurfer1960Ай бұрын
Comparing the Mazda CX-60 to the Audi Q5, a 7-year-old model soon to be replaced in a few months, feels irrelevant. A more fitting comparison would be with models like the Lexus RX or Genesis GV70, which are more aligned with the preferences of potential CX-60 buyers. History has shown that those loyal to European luxury brands or willing to pay a premium are unlikely to switch to Mazda, regardless of differing opinions. Mazda seems to recognise this, drawing lessons from their experience with Eunos. Their focus is on appealing to existing Mazda owners or buyers in a similar price range who want to step up in features and finishes without incurring the higher costs of European luxury vehicles.

"Cubic" litreage? As opposed to what other type of litreage, squared? Also, surely when one spends $80k to $90k on a car one would spend 20 to 30 bucks on bottles that suit the particular vehicle? I'm not a fan of either of the cars and they are certainly not prestige or luxury models. Out of those two i'd choose the most comfortable one to sit in and the easiest to ingress and egress.
@carsalesАй бұрын
Cubic... Yes he misspoke wethinks. Probably meant to say Kubric? Maybe he's a fan of Full Metal Jacket. So, the bottle thing is just to provide a benchmark - it's something he does in all his vids. Perhaps there's a better way to measure storage spaces? We'll mull it over, good feedback mate.
@MJSE-of7gsАй бұрын
@@carsales G'day, it was just a bit of tautology, no big deal. As for the bottle thing, I get it is to provide some type of guide as to the size of the door pocket or cup holders etc, nearly all reviewers do the same thing. However, as there are countless drink bottle sizes AND one only gets a rough guestimate from the visuals (which can be very deceptive), I'm not terribly convinced it is a selling point in a review given the price of a vehicle versus the price of a drink bottle. *IF* universally the same size bottles were used in comparisons or for showing if they fit or not there might be some merit in it, but then again, do people really choose one vehicle over another due to the size of the door bins/cup holder sizes? (I do not know the answer, maybe they do?) For me, I place 1000% more importance on the seats than cup holders, and there is NO WAY to know *IF* a seat will be comfortable to an individual without actually sitting in it. Food for thought, cheers!
@carsalesАй бұрын
@@MJSE-of7gs Well said mate - the seating theory is bang on. It's always prudent to take a car for a test drive before making the selection. The drink bottle idea is a conundrum though... Perhaps we should highlight "this 1 litre bottle" etc?

I think it’s a very very strong effort from Mazdas first luxury car. Every brand starts somewhere take Lexus for example and look how successful they have been. If Mazda can keep tweaking the cx60 and make better dynamically and keep building other luxury models look out Lexus and Audi! The engine reminds me of a BMW. And in my books they’ve already passed VW for luxury 🤣 long answer short don’t be a brand snob and 100% consider the cx60 if your looking at something that size especially after the suspension and gear box upgrades
