First time doing an oil change on my Q7. That oil filter location is super convenient. My tdi Passat is slightly buried.

for those that drain from the bottom, the new crush washer is unique. The new one is rolled and where the roll connects (you will see a slight line) has to go toward the engine. l called corporate as i was loosing oil and they told me about this.

Another great video I should have watched a couple years ago. This vehicle (Cayenne turbo diesel included) is the easiest oil change ever due to the top mount filter. I use a MityVac extractor as well. Make sure the oil is warm to reduce the viscosity, otherwise it won't extract well. As the other guy said, once you delete the DPF, you can use any synthetic 5w-30 oil. Much cheaper and better oil picked up at locally at Chinamart or Costco. Makes life easier to use the same oil in all my vehicles...V8 4Runner, TT Supra, and beater Corolla.

It's what I've heard that once the emissions is deleted i can just use any 5w30 oil

Good stuff! I usually do the filter first and I drain through oil pan because I dont have an oil extractor lol. Also since you’re deleted, I believe you dont need vw507 anymore

Loved the video! Super well put together, and easy to understand. Do you have any tips or recommendations on what to do with the old oil? I know where I could dispose of it, I'm just not sure how to easily get it there...

Service fill is 7.7 liter. The cap is fitted onto the filter first then it self locates as it is screwed in. Did you add the dipstick as I thought they had an electronic oil level display? Good video Thanks.

Video request: install a water/meth injection system. Possibly the Snow Performance with the VC-50 controller and boost gauge? I have no idea how much boost this thing is running. Once you see the nasty intake (per my comment in the tune review video), you'll want something to steam clean the intake. Be a pioneer!

I don't think I'll ever so a w/m kit for Q7. But I do have a Bluetooth obdii reader and it gives me live data including boost gauge

If you are not deleted you can still use the oil that i show (5w30). But if you ever delete you can still use this 5w30 which i still use and I've heard you can also use the shell rotela T9 oil for diesel. I believe that's what it's a called. But as mention if you are not deleted don't use the shell t9

@@markb6s4 I recently rebuild the entire engine and a new transmission, and living in a pretty cold area so I bet 5W30 is a better choice than the 5W40 I guess?

@@trophybanana when I use to live in a cold weather during the winters I had no issues with the q7 at start up. I've been using 5w30 since rive owned the car

I change my oil every 5,000 miles. How many do you change your Q7?

I change oil every 3000 miles. That's how set in the mmi, probably it was done by previous owner. I decided to keep it like it was. I use Pento Super made in Germany by PENTOSIN 5W - 30
