Hello, I was wondering what size the brake discs were on the RS3. Couldn’t find it anywhere on the Internet also, I’m about to order new brake discs from Brembo but seen that there are 2 sizes. 340mm and 370mm. Any Idea which one I need? Or a link from the brake discs that you ordered could also be helping. Thanks, nice video 👌🏼
Hi, I sent the link to you , it's 370mm discs, that I fitted,

Do you need the brake pad covers? Can’t get old ones off old pads. And new Brembo pads don’t come with

Hi, the Brembo brake pads I had come with cover, I'm not sure if it make any difference

What were you doing with the screw driver right before placing the new pads back in? Looks like you were pushing something or trying to make room for the pad

I was pushing the piston back in using a screwdriver to lever it

Why are some rs3 brake pads in pairs and some are complete pads?
@ProLexHD Жыл бұрын
Do the pads get glued to the pistons on the caliper? Or do i just push in the pistons and put in the new pads? On my s6 c7 you have to buy new shims to put on the back of the pads (which goes into the pistons)

The pads came out easy on the rs3, and it come with new shims to,

What where all of the tools you used in the video? i'm planning on doing my front brakes on my rs3 and just wanna make sure im prepared! Thanks

Hi, so you will need a hammer, punch tool, 21mm spanner, or ratchet with 21mm socket. A long handle ratchet will be better, a flat screw driver to re set the piston, to take the wheels off 17mm socket wire brush
@user-uf7ox6ly6x Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the response! 21mm for the two bolts for caliper right? And it’s 200nm for the caliper bolt and 90nm for the wheels, but what about the T30 for the rotor?
@manmotor2889 Жыл бұрын
Yes need a T30 for rota

When you push the pistons back with a screwdriver, do you have to make sure you push them all back the same distance? And did you open the fluid reservoir?
@manmotor2889 Жыл бұрын
HI NO YOU DON'T HAVE TO PUSH IT THE SAME DISTANCE, LONG A THEY ARE ALL PUSH BACK THAT FINE AND, YES RESERVOIR WAS OPEN
@jakemendez62042 ай бұрын
Why do you open the fluid reservoir when doing so? And by fluid reservoir meaning the brake fluid reservoir?

hello, they have changed the front pads of my rs3 2018 and they have loosened the strap that goes with the screw. Is there a problem in disassembling it to put the brake pads?
@manmotor2889 Жыл бұрын
Hi, you mean the strap between the pads with 2 bolts on either side ? If it is that I didn't have to take it off because I changed the brake discs too, so, in the past I never had problems before
@juancarlosnavarro3867 Жыл бұрын
@@manmotor2889 hello, yes, I mean the strap with two screws that separates the brake pads. I have read in a manual that the strap should not be released because there is a danger of damage. In the workshop due to ignorance they released it to put the brake pads and now I don't know what torque they have given to the screw. I am somewhat concerned.
@manmotor2889 Жыл бұрын
You can remove them, I have in the before, I'm not sure about the toque setting.
@Honda_CRF6 ай бұрын
@@juancarlosnavarro3867 what you read is correct, Audi shop manual recommends to NOT remove that bridge, additionally, there is no need to remove it to remove old pads/insert new ones.... just remove pins and springs, retract pistons slightly, and the bads will come off

what brand of discs are these? can you give me information . I would like to buy brembo discs because Audi told me that oem discs + pads replacement would cost me 3000€. but I heared people saying that all discs other than Oems will bend or crack because of the heat. is that true. how are your discs now?
@manmotor2889 Жыл бұрын
Yes, the discs and pads are brembo, and so far, no problem with them . The cost was around £600
