Ich habe das Gefühl, viele verstehen nicht, dass Audi die Autos EXTRA so abstimmen, dass sie untersteuern. Ist zwar nicht schnell auf der Rennstrecke, für die sind sie aber auch nicht gemacht. Sie sind für den Alltag gemacht, sollen auf der Autobahn gut funktionieren und mal für ein paar schnellere Landstraßen gut sein.

Why are people giving this car so much shit? It reviews extremely well, everyone says its a great car to drive yet every one slays it on here, it dosnt do a bad time at all, let down by tyres that you can clearly see overheat quickly, and apart from one bad corner entry at 1:40 the rest of the lap is pretty good.

Der Fahrer wie immer der Hammer 🔨. Der RS4 liegt erstaunlich neutral. Das Audi typische Untersteuern bleibt, wodurch ein Audi niemals sportlich zu bewegen ist. Das er eine Zeit unter 8min schafft, mit 1780kg Leergewicht, ohne die volle Leistung zu haben, ist eine Meisterleistung des Fahrers und für den RS4 nicht schlecht.

Ich habe mir privat einen solchen gebrauchten RS4 gegönnt. Beruflich fahre ich einen BMW 320d g20. Ehrlich gesagt ist der RS4 nichts für die Rennstrecke. Auch auf einer Bergstrasse merkt man das Gewicht oder die Dimensionen. Da war mein 981 Boxster flinker unterwegs. Ignoriert man den Motor schlägt sich der BMW von der Wendigkeit besser. In der Praxis ist das aber irrelevant. Der Audi sieht einfach Bombe aus. Das Interieurdesign ist schlicht und klasse. Die Platzverhältnisse hinten sind viel besser als bei BMW. Kann man sich erlauben mit einer 100k Kare auf der Rennstrecke zu kurven sollten man sich einen Lotus oder Porsche gönnen. Für alle anderen ist und bleibt der RS4 eine tolle Wahl. Im Alltag macht das Ding einfach richtig Spass ohne jegliche Kompromisse eingehen zu müssen! Und ehrlich gesagt - ab 30 sollte man einfach etwas für Erwachsene fahren. Alles andere ist lächerlich. Die meisten Hothatches fallen da sowieso raus.

Well, 2018 RS4 with 450hp is as fast as Cupra ST 280 with manual gearbox.... It means that new hothatches are ultimate fast cars and even with 450-500hp cars can't beat them on these types of roads/tracks easily.

onehorsepower: I didnt see this test, thx for sharing. Of course I am driving carefully, of course a bit faster but never overtake in a blind corner etc. First thing is to come home safe:) Agree with mods to do a track days, but still capable car in stock. Xthilox has the car I think almost only for the track so the mods are in place. For normal road driving and few days on track in a year only brakes, tires maybe swaybars are maybe necessary.

Yes but putting better tires on will improve lap times for almost any car. That is why you test with the tires that come on the car. Considering it's an RS it really ought to have better tires, and a more neutral balance.

I'd reconsider, Audi's take skill and time to master on a circuit. Also the way to initiate oversteer is very different from a Merc or a Bmw. My 2018 S4 tracked very well and understeer was not much of an issue after I learned how to drive it. I had a friend who is a certified instructor take me for a few laps and ever he was amazed at how well the new chassis behaves on the track. You could mod this RS4 with a stiffer rear sway bar and make it even quicker. The problem with new people and high power rwd cars is a lot of them wreck them when they find out how unforgiving their precious oversteer is. It looks cool when you see it on Top gear and shit but go look at some of the Nurburgring wreck compilations and you'll see whats happening.

It's not the tires you stupid idiot, it's because the engine is in front of the front axle, thats why Audis understeer in static cornering and Audi tries to laminate that with things like a sport differential. Why should they fit Semislicks on a car that is used 99% on the street? A C63 or an M4 also doesnt come with PSC2s from factory, they use street tires. Get over it and dont call people audi hater, when you are hating every single other brand for no reason.
