This is the best wash method IMO - Active foam, rinse, rinseless wash, dry.

Heck yeah, I've been doing it this way for a long time. Works great, saves stress and time.

The hybrid is the best. No drying aid needed and saves time and water. Much agreed!

I think if the uss lasts even a year or two of heavy use, it’ll be well worth it. It’s nice to have it dialed in right away and it’s cheaper by a substantial margin too. I love my ubs and my legacy, but I definitely think the uss might be taking over for the ubs.

Agree with you. The ultra black sponge seemed fine to me. Great video. I started using the Rrw. MAN that is VERY IMPRESSIVE. Can’t wait to use the Frostbite

If I can give you some feedback, I love how you gave the dilutions for both the bucket and foam cannon. Also I did NOT know Kock Chemie made a rinseless. Always time well spent on your channel Jamie! Thanks

Jaime ! I have been using the black sponge in all my car washes ( I live in and apt so rinse less wash for the go) and it’s holding amazing. Just after every use I wash again with just water ( I have soft water)
@melansonstevenandrew8 ай бұрын
Jamie, I have a brand new Ultra Black Sponge, how would I “season it” to optimize softness before my first use? Should I let it soak in some 256:1 rinseless solution for a while? If so, how long would you suggest?
@JamieTheCleaner8 ай бұрын
Yeah once fully saturated they are ready to go, just after multiple uses they will definitely start to soften even more and start to fell like the USS right out the package 👍🧼

That tire applicator would be much better with bristles (like DIY Detail’s tire shine brush) than with foam. Wouldn’t really need to replace it ever too.

I’m still pretty skeptical of these sponges. They seem nice for flat panel but having to jam them into corners and tight spots seems like a recipe for marring.
@jeffc68328 ай бұрын
If I have some tight areas I need to get into, I either grab a chenille noodle mitt or a fluffy microfiber towel and dunk it in the rinseless bucket. That said, I've never had issues with door cups and the sponges.
@brythanaustin8 ай бұрын
Yea I throw an extra towel in the bucket for the harder to get areas for the sponge otherwise it does get in cracks and crevices pretty good
@1stfrompuertorico5688 ай бұрын
Nice
@christopherjacob62098 ай бұрын
im super skeptical about those sponges scratching
@jeffc68328 ай бұрын
They're not really a sponge, think of them more like a fine polishing pad. The secret is in how they hold the rinseless solution, draw dirt up into the pores and eliminate pressure points. Used correctly it is impossible for them to scratch.
@epap13758 ай бұрын
If you do a foam pre rinse like he did here there’s really nothing on the surface that will scratch. The foam and rinse takes away all the grit and solids so you’re just left with traffic film
