My DRLs on my pre facelift S3 arent working anymore on the driver side. Do you know what drl module is needed for the pre facelift? I have seen 2 different types on ebay

So there are 2 different modules on the headlight themselves, I can’t tell you which one as it’s been a long time and no information. You can call your local dealership and ask them as they will be able to tell you what the part number is

I have an Audi A3 2021 with a cracked headlight. Is it simple enough to replace the lens on the headlight or will I need to replace the whole thing?

You can replace the lenses but completely different. Requirements are heating the head light up and re sealing etc. best to find a video on how to do it

I took my car into the auto electrician today as my DRL isn't working and they inspected it then told me I will have to replace my whole headlight (left hand side). My car is a 2010 Audi S3, and the cheapest second hand headlight they could find is $1,950 NZD excl GST, which is roughly $1,120 USD or $952 pounds. Is this an acceptable price as it doesn't include labour costs as well or should I try source one or a pair from E-bay?

Wouldn’t expect the whole headlight to be at fault. Drl have a separate control module what’s attached to the headlamp which may be the cause but the price does sound as it should. Just be careful as I think there’s 2 different trim colours silver or black one has a higher price but could end up with a unmatched trim

Are the headlight bulbs replaceable on the Audi s3 8v or do you have to buy a whole new headlamp?

The standard 8v bulbs for headlight and drl are replaceable, along with the 42v gas bulb (super fragile)

Hello, I need to change the headlight of my A3. I am looking at the dealer catalog; there are 2 buying options: with ballast and without ballast available. Should I buy the ballast included? My headlight is barely damaged by the cover lend.

If the ballast (module) is okay and all the light work then you can just swap it to the new head light

I bought a whole new Headlight assembly which costed me 1,474 at my local dealer … I had a crack on my driver side headlamp , which was a minor crack near the turn signal thing, (I got the crack from hitting a cone on the highway) last year …. It went threw the whole winter of last year nothing happened… I live in California and the other day we had a mini hurricane and I live in Bakersfield California… So Rain and fog got into the crack somehow and I got a earring light stating “Your daytime running lights are off on left side” I go out and there still on …. The next day the daytime running light is off … and won’t go back on the left driver side… Hopefully the new headlight assembly fixes the day time running light issue or is there another part I need please someone answer :( I have a 2016 Audi A3 1.8 premium

How hard would it be for me to swap 17' facelift bits into a 16'? Will i need to get the facelift headlights programmed into the 2016? Any help is appreciated.🙏

Umm the headlight shape is very different, not sure if you’ve taken that into account. You’d need to get a new bumper as well.

@@marlattmotos ahh, okay, I do believe the slot for the headlight is a different shape as well. Lucky for you the headlight grew for the facelift. But I do believe they also shrunk horizontally. You could try to search up some blueprints or measurements online but you may need to get a whole new front end. Maybe more worth it to trade in for a facelift?

I can't hear what your saying your talking at the same time your using your drill to take out screws I need to replace my headlight on my Audi A3 and I could not hear what size of bit I need to go buy? I don't have anything metric the dealer quoted me 927 and a four hour job. I might be old but 50 years plus ago it was so easy to replace headlights on cars trucks and suv.s

Sorry buddy that was my fault I’ll keep that in mind next time. So it’s only torx set you need so t30 torx, 20torx and 25torx
