I've spent the last 3 weeks sourcing a b8 s4. Finally managed to find one that is a 99% match for the spec I'm looking for. The only thing that was missing was the B&O sound system and I'm not sure if it has keyless entry. Black, 19" Rotor wheels, carbon pack, titanium pack, black/red seats, sports dif, adaptive suspension, nav package, 41k, FSH with most at Audi dealer or specialist. It hasn't had the gearbox serviced, Audi recommends servicing every 38k but its low miles and its the 1st thing that's getting done when I get it home. Plus I got the dealer to take £500 off the car because of this. Need to travel from Edinburgh to Luton for it but I'm happy the search is over haha.

How did you figure out it had the sports diff? Did the seller know about it ?

@@CarsAndChronometersOn the centre console press the "Car" button, then select "Driver Select", if you have the option "Sports diff" then you have one. No, the dealer didn't know but I sent him a video on WhatsApp on how to check, then he sent me his own video verifying it had one. Unfortunately, the how-to check video's been deleted from youtube. It's a strange sensation when the diff kicks in but amazing at the same time. You'll get to the point where the car starts to understeer then suddenly feel the back end of the car turning into the bend giving insane cornering speed grip for a big family car.

All these face lift Audi's are awesome value now. All serious engines underneath, the only lacking feature I'd say is the technology/radios in them. Even the Q3 2018 Black Edition didn't come with more than a 640p screen.

RS nav, worthy upgrade for £250 and easy install as long as you're somewhat handy with your hands.

How to check if your S4 has Sports Diff- Below the gearbox there should be button with "Car" written on it. Select this and options will appear for what driving mode you wish to select. Select individual. More options appear one will be Sports Diff. This verifies if your S4 has Sports Diff. If there is no Button with Car writtwn on it then it doesnt have a Sports Diff.

Well I must of found the unicorn as I have a 2015 Avant with rear diff!! If I have one recommendation, is to get it tuned. I got MRC stage 2 and it's an absolute monster now. No need to rag it but when you need the power, oof is it there!! Though I also upgraded the brakes to Porsche Macans to help with extra stopping power. :)

I wanted a V10 S6, but the problems and huge carbon deposits pushed me towards a Volvo V8 AWD instead.

Feel like you missed a few bits mate, you can get a manual box but only on the b8 and for both you should listen out for cam chain noise as that's a engine out 3k fix

How can I find out if the car I’m looking at has the sports diff ?

There should be a button just below the gearbox with "Car" written on it. Press and a few options should appear. This allows you to choose what driving mode you want. If it has individual then select this a new list of options should appear and one of them will be Sports Diff. This verifies it has Sports Diff
