Audi S5 Grille Install

Tutorial for B8 Audi S5/A5 center grille install. Sorry for the long video but I wanted to try to be as thorough as I could so you can do this at home.

It's definitely your choice and what you like, but I like the RS5 grille over the stock S5 grille. This video was great though and very helpful in understanding exactly what is involved in swapping grilles. Thank you. Just need a warm day here to do the work.

Yes I’ve got front parking sensors. I just unplugged them as I was removing the bumper

Major both. There’s 2 fitted on the grill and 2 on the bumper. Just need to unplug the loom from each sensor before moving the bumper away from the car and remember to plug them in again when refitting it’s. The loom for my sensors was fitted behind the fixing brackets for the grill so these had to be unscrewed to get the cable out from behind them

Thanks for posting this. I have the JHM supercharger kit on my B8 S5 and changing the oil on the blower requires removing the bumper shell.

To be honest, everyone has the RS grille, A4's A5's, A6's, etc. and I was starting to feel like everyone had the same look so I went with the black optics. Now i'm wanting to go back. so I will be installing the RS grille back on cuz I do miss the aggressive look.

Jeremey Allen Downgrade? The meshgrille is for RS5, I think it looks like shit on the S5. Stock grille suits the S5, thats it.

CTCDesigns eBay. I’ve fitted it now with black Audi badge, looks slick. Also de-badged the A5 and TDI signs and stuck a black Audi badge on the rear.

Everyone hating on the grill dont understand styling and design. This cars front end was made to match that stock grill, which in my opinion looks way better and compliments the shape of the head lights. If you want the RS grill, get the RS bumper to go along with it(the entire front end of the car is one piece) , that matches the honeycomb design. I own an 08 S5 in sprint blue, and my stock grill is finished in grey and matches the chrome accents. Some like aftermarket bs.... some like classiness.

I see you zip tied your sensor module that was mounted to back of OEM grill to the radiator, did that cause any issues or need calibrated at dealership? Also my grill didnt come with the longer 2 post that slide in at top to screw down. Do you have website you bought yours?

It's an OEM part I believe, it should be the splitter if i recall correctly. You can get it used for pretty cheap actually.

Ali A hey buddy as long as the grille you bought is for the B8 and not B8.5 then yes it will fit on the stock B8 S5 bumper.
